Cynthia Turner's Cynopsis reveals that FOX's hit series 24 has just recruited two actors to join the cast in the upcoming season of the series. Enterprise's John Billingsley is set to join in a recurring capacity. TV Guide mentions that his role is that of "Latham." The two sources do not have more details about this role right now. TV fans may remember Billingsley from his portrayal of Egan Foote on ABC's short-lived The Nine. This past year, he also guest starred in various TV series such as NCIS, Ghost Whisperer, and Standoff.Joining Billingsley is Jeffrey Nordling, whose latest projects include starring in FX's Dirt in the role of Brent Barrow and guesting on shows like Close to Home, Justice, The Closer, and CSI. Nordling will play an FBI agent named Larry on 24. This role is reported to be a regular one.
The two actors join Cherry Jones, Janeane Garofalo, and Colm Feore, who were all added to the cast of 24 earlier this summer.

Billingsley was also Dr. Phlox on Star Trek: Enterprise.

Considering he was the best actor in the series (Enterprise), his role would seem to be of note.

I can't believe that they left out that Billingsley was also in "Prison Break." He played a huge role in that he was a relative of a White House administration official. I ain't giving spoilers but he was on there.

Wonderful news. He's an amiable actor, and expressive too. On Enterprise, he showed he could puff up his face like a balloon, and stretch the corners of his smile right up to the bottom of his eyes. Not even our Jack can do that.
