(S08E25) The only thing more annoying than watching Amber on this season of Big Brother is, wait a second...

I actually can't think of anything more annoying. I'm pretty sure there's plenty of stuff out there, but I'm just too agitated to think of it right now.

I can't remember another person on a reality show that has aggravated me to the same extent as Amber. I hated her holier than thou attitude, I hated the tear factory that resided on her face, and I hated the constant swearing on her daughter's life. I haven't even mentioned the antisemitic fiasco from a few weeks back, but I hated that as well.

Some might say this makes me a hateful person. I tend to agree, but I have a feeling a majority of you are with me on this one so I'm hoping you'll let it slide.

Because I despise Amber so much, it was a little strange for me to see Jessica getting so emotional near the beginning of the show regarding Amber being on the verge of going home.

The enormous amount of good will Amber received in the parting comments from the house guests also caught me off guard.

I realize that I'm at the mercy of the edited version of Amber that CBS decided to show me, but I find that version of her so reprehensible that anything good she might have done in the house would not offset her other actions.

Also, Amber's argument about a good person needing to win the game made me laugh because in my eyes that eliminated her as a potential winner of the game. Of course, in Amber's eyes that meant she should win it.

Okay, I'm done ranting.

America's Player - Who should America's player get kicked off?

What do you know? America chose Amber. Perhaps America feels the same way about her as I do.

Amber (with the aid of Jameka) ended up spending a lot of time trying to turn Jessica against Eric. She began sowing seeds of doubt into the fertile fields of Jessica's brain regarding Eric and his "girlfriend" Cheryl.

Amber suggested that Eric was intentionally losing HoH competitions because he was fearful that Jessica would see pictures of Cheryl and him together in his HoH room. Amber also insinuated that Eric and Cheryl were still actively in a relationship regardless of Eric's continued denials.

When Jessica told Eric this, he quickly put Jessica at ease and reigned her back onto his side.

Next, Dick came into the room to talk to Eric and Jessica and it was revealed that Zach's intended to backdoor Eric at some point later in the game. This caused Eric to reveal that Zach had worked on getting Daniele or Dick out of the house this week. That pissed Dick off immensely.

A viewer asked Dick, "Why do you spit so much?"

Dick answer, "I don't know Julie. It's like walking and talking."

Was it me or did Dick seem uncharacteristically embarrassed by the question?

Spotlights - Jameka and Eric

Tonight we got to take a look at Jameka's church and her pastor who seemed like a nice enough person. We also got to meet Jameka's older sister, Danita, who said "Jameka's strong faith could be perceived as her weakness." I don't really find it to be a weakness. On the contrary, it really seems to help her cope through some tough situations.

Next, we got to meet Eric's older and younger brothers. They both seem to agree that he playing a fantastic game. They also seem to share Eric's overzealousness when it comes to the game of Big Brother.

Finally, we got to meet Cheryl, also known as Eric's on again off again girlfriend.



One of Eric's brothers said that that three week before he entered the BB house, Eric tried to get back with Cheryl only she wasn't interested.

But wait. Cheryl says that she has been dating Eric for 4 1/2 years. There was no "we're on again off again" talk. She said she HAS been dating him. I wonder if the fact that he has a 1 in 6 chance of winning $500K has anything to do with her newfound devotion to the relationship.

I thought Cheryl was attractive enough, but I think Eric has definitely taken a step up with Jessica - you know, assuming her voice doesn't end up irritating the hell out of him.

Live Eviction

Here's how the vote played out:

Jameka voted to evict Zach. She was very teary eyed during the process.
Eric voted to evict Amber because 76% of America wanted her gone. He's also completed 17 of 24 America's Player tasks and has won $30K to date. Not too shabby.
Dick voted to evict Amber.
Daniele voted to evict Amber despite all the promises Amber made to her. Didn't expect this, but it probably makes sense in the long run.

By a vote of 3-1 Amber and her saggy pants were evicted from the house. On the bright side, at least she has a modeling career to look forward to...

And just because I'm a little sad that I won't be able to take any more pictures of Amber crying. Booyah!


Head of Household Competition - The Big Brother Tea Party



The contestants had to use a tiny cup to fish tea out of a large teapot shaped container. They then had to make their way down a slippery floor and pour the tea into a giant bowl - the object being to raise a ball at the bottom of the bowl to the top for extraction.

The small cups hold 3 ounces of tea and it takes 16 gallons to fill up the larger tanks. That's roughly 683 trips or 7.5 miles back and forth across a slippery wood floor for the winner. That sounds about as fun as diarrhea. I don't envy the contestants in the least
