Whitney Matheson has an interesting topic over at the Pop Candy blog. She lists her 10 favorite props from the movies, and includes some items like Indy's hat from the Raiders of the Lost Ark movies, Darth Vader's light saber, and many items from Steve Martin's The Jerk. This got me thinking, what props from TV shows would I like to own? I have a few from Ed, including a name plate from the courtroom and a drinking bird, but I'd like more. My list is below, in no particular order.
Anything from The Dick Van Dyke Show: In particular, the typewriter in the office or anything from the Petrie's kitchen. Or maybe the ottoman Rob trips over!
The napkin Bartlet gave Leo on The West Wing: Not only was it used beautifully in the episode that it was introduced, it also plays a huge part in the series finale, after John Spencer had died. I'd frame it, and it would probably be the one thing I'd save if I ever had a fire.
The Fusilli Jerry from Seinfeld: This would look great on my book shelf. I know that at the end of the episode it ends up in Frank Costanza's ass, but I'm going to assume they didn't really put it up there.
A ring from Magnum, P.I.: The ones that Magnum, Rick, and T.C. wore. I'm not a ring guy, but this would be cool to own (I mean an original - they sell replicas; a friend of mine has one).
Crow or Tom Servo from Mystery Science Theater 3000: Because they would look cool sitting on my sofa, watching TV with me.
Johnny's desk and/or microphone from The Tonight Show: So I could actually work at the desk that Johnny hosted from all those years. Plus, I could put on my own talk show in my living room.
The orbs from The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr.: Wouldn't it be great to have these around your apartment?
This wasn't as easy as I thought it would be. What are some TV props you'd like to own?

Mary Tyler Moore's hat! You know the one. Then my friends and I could take turns tossing it exhuberently into the air and pretending we're all Marys. Ohwaitaminute! We already are!

The picture of Mel Torme in Harry Stone's office on Night Court (or the armadillo)... Norm's bar stool from cheers... the Nomad space probe from star trek... the plastic palm trees and dinosaurs from Wash's control console on Firefly... Murphy Brown's dartboard... the Bat-bulletproof-shield from the old Batman series... KITT's steering column... Archie's chair from All in the family...
there are countless others, but that's the top of my list.

Perhaps something from Star Trek? The number of iconic props from that show is high; I'd take almost anything.
And then there Archie Bunkers chair. I know it's in the Smithsonian now, but it would still be nice to have.

The peephole picture frame from Friends. The revolver from "Sledge Hammer", with "loudener" attachment. The Trolley from Mister Rodger's Neighborhood (not to be hidden away, but shared with the neighbor kids of course).

"many items from Steve Martin's The Jerk"
And the best part of those is you could just keep them anywhere...
'Oh.. is that where that goes?'
But, tv wise... well, everything above is pretty full, but I think I'd have to go for Fonzie's bike from the opening credits.
Or maybe the beer bottle with the glove on it from Laverne and Shirley. Columbo's raincoat. The Robot (esp. if I can get it hooked up to an alarm system. Warning John! WARNING! It is time to get up! WARNING!)
I think we could do a list on just vehicles. KITT, General Lee from above, Fonzie's bike. The A-team van. My mom (the car. Not actually my mom).

I want Magnum's Ferrari not that stupid ring or, even better, T.C.'s helicopter. Or the white Lamborghini Countach from Miami Vice. The Dabo Table from DS9 or the Baseball in Cicso's Office or one of the Baseball Jerseys they wore playing on the Holodeck or Odo's Bucket or the Defiant Miniature or one of the MakeUp pens that painted Terry Farrel's "Dax" markings :-)
The Robot from "Riptide". One of the buoys from Baywatch. A tennis racket from Charlies Angels or Charlies speaker. The dagger Buffy stabbed Angel with. The holodeck door from TNG. Rachel's dress for the Princess Leia fantasy from Friends for my girlfriend :-)
Face's corvette from the A-Team or the team's van or Murdock's hat.
And a gazillion others :-)

Well, while we're on vehicles...
Give me the grumman goose from tales of the golden monkey. You can keep the rest.
Well, unless you have some way to get me a real Gaiking (or Space Battleship Yamamoto)... or a Cyclone. I could really use a Cyclone.

The first thing I thought of was the picture frame on the back of the door of Monica's apartment on "Friends," and No. 5 beat me to it.
Fonzie's jacket.
The gun that shot JR Ewing on "Dallas."
Willard Scott's toupee. (Gross!)
The Kimber doll from "Nip/Tuck."
