Dancing With the Stars returns on September 24th and there is a pretty decent list of celebrity guests this season. Here's the list:- Mel B (Spice Girl) paired with Maksim Chmerkovskly;
- Sabrina Bryan (Cheetah Girl) paired with Mark Ballas;
- Helio Castroneves (race car driver) paired with Julianne Hough;
- Mark Cuban (businessman) paired with Kym Johnson;
- Jennie Garth (former 90210 actress) paired with Derek Hough;
- Josie Maran (supermodel) paired with Alec Mazo;
- Cameron Mathison (All My Children) paired with Edyta Silwinska;
- Floyd Mayweather, Jr. (boxer) paired with Karina Smirnoff;
- Wayne Newton (singer) paired with Cheryl Burke;
- Marie Osmond (singer) paired with Jonathan Roberts;
- Albert Reed (supermodel) paired with Anna Trebunskaya;
- Jane Seymour (actress) paired with Tony Dovolani.
I can picture Jane Seymour being pretty graceful... but Mark Cuban and the supermodels seem like they'd be kind-of stiff.

I've liked seasons two, three, and four of this show, but I have to say I'm very disappointed in the lineup for season 5. These "stars" are barely stars (save Wayne Newton). I'm interested in Mark Cuban, Wayne Newton, and Jane Seymour only.
The only plus I see from this list is the yummy Anna Tabunskaya is back (last seen when paired with Jerry Rice) as is Edyta.
For such a highly rated show, I sure wish ABC wound find "Stars" to put in "Dancing with the Stars" instead of D and E list celebrities.

Hasn't the show always been quasi-fringe celebrities unless you consider Apolo Anton Ohno, Ian Ziering, Heather McCartney, Stacy Kiebler, Laila Ali, Tucker Carlson, Kenny Mayne, ex-boy band members, et al.... stars?
BTW, it's Helio not Hello.

Man, they saddle Cheryl w/ Wayne Newton? I guess if he still has a legion of fans voting on him solely because he's Wayne, then she'll be on the show for awhile.
If you couldn't tell, I only watch the show for Cheryl.

I'm guessing that it's Cheryl's turn to get the old guy.
Still I bet a guy wins ...... again so I'm going with the soap star. If he has any sense of rythmn he should win. He would be like a combo Kelly Monaco with a boy band kind of good looks.

Misspelled a name. Helio Castroneves. Only one L in his first name.

I must say that I didn't think I would be this excited about the lineup, but I am.
They will have the girls dance on sept 24th, the guys on the 25th and the results on the 26th -- wed. All to promote the ABC lineup.

I've only watched the show a couple times (including the finales with Drew Lachey and Emmitt Smith), but I have to say this line-up looks great!
Cuban is a great competitor but will probably bow out early, a la Kenny Mayne. I think Castroneves and Jane Seymour -- and even Marie Osmond -- will be solid contenders.

Don't count Mark Cuban out. He is probably the most competitive person in the group. Also heard he was once a very good disco dancer.

Looking forward to Helio! Great hopes for him. Great sense of humor should show through. Fantastic athlete, with a strong work ethic that has helped others in previous seasons. Go Helio! ABC may want to have a chain link fence available for when he wins.

I have watched and enjoyed dancing with the stars since the 1st season. I would love to see Cheryl win again, but she has her work cut out for her, I have been lucky enough to pick the winner every year so I am going to choose Cameron Matterson from All My Children, my favorite soap opera. Don't let me down Cameron. Take it in full force but most of all Have Fun!!!

Why isn't anyone considering Sabrina Bryan here? She's already got experience with the Cheetah Girls movies!
And OMG I feel SO sorry for Cheryl Burke. WAYNE NEWTON?!!! Come on, he is so into himself. I love Cheryl but how the heck am I supposed to cheer her on with Wayne taggin along. Anyway I think people are underestimating Sabrina, so comment on that!!

Wayne Newton looks scary with the overdone plastic surgery! I feel so sorry for Cheryl Burke. I do not feel there is any chance of her winning saddled with such an old partner. I think the last group of people were a more interesting bunch. Not sure who the Cheetah Girls are.

I think Cheryl and Wayne will do just fine! I think everyone will be surprised to see another side of Wayne Newton. Wayne is the ultimate entertainer plus having a great sense of humor and a very caring personality and is a perfectionist where music is concerned...so GO CHERYL AND WAYNE...show up the DOUBTERS!!

I guess I'm a bit disappointed too.I have not even heard of SEVEN of these contestants and I cant say how they could possibly be STARS.....Come on ABC get your buns in gear and find STARS that can and want to participate.Isnt that why you named this Dancing with the STARS???? I dont foresee this show lasting too much longer if you cant give us STARS to actually watch.. And I've watched this from day one of the first season....

Please consider Drew Carey for future show. And I believe Dancing shows the contestants as very real people, not just stars. Loved Jerry Springer.

I love that the contestants are all C or D List stars. It gives us a chance to remember them or learn about ones with which we weren't familiar.
This is such a great show based on pure entertainment. It's not a back stabbing, drama-queen/king kind of reality show. It's a competition where we watch the stars grow each week, and they seem to genuinely wish their fellow competitors good luck. I will definitely be watching season five!

Hi - I'm SO happy that Marie Osmond is joining the show this season! I can't wait to start watching this show, as I've never even watched it once... but when I heard Marie Osmond is going to be on it, someone who I grew up with on TV with her brother, Donny... well... now I'm ready for the show, and I can't wait! Good Luck to Marie!
