NBC has never seen a game show it didn't like.
The Peacock Network has bought a new game show from Survivor/Apprentice reality show guru Mark Burnett called Amnesia. Actually, it's spelled Amne$ia, with a $ in place of the S. Just so you remember it's a game show and not a medical program.
The show will feature contestants being asked questions about their own lives, to see how much they know and remember. Producers will research the background of each contestant by interviewing friends and family.
This actually sounds like a fun idea for a game show, even if it does tilt more towards the reality/game show genre and not a straight forward game show. I'll definitely check this out, as long as it doesn't have the damn lighting/music/dramatic pauses/lameness of Deal Or No Deal and Identity and all those other shows. But wouldn't it be cool if they got people with actual amnesia to be contestants?

Sounds like a bad idea to me, but most "game shows" made in the last 10 years have been.
Can't be worse than Deal or No Deal.

It also needs an exclamation point. Maybe an at!

I can imagine the special cross-over promotions they will do with the show on NBC...
Game Show Host: "Do you remember this voice?"
Voiceover: "My name is Chris Hansen... and I am with Dateline NBC."

Great to see more of Ben Silverman getting NBC back on that right path. Conan can bring back the "Drive For Five" campaign.
