Some fans of NBC's The Office have refused to believe that what happened in the season ender actually happened. They think that other fans are misinterpreting the last scene, that Ryan wasn't actually promoted at Dunder-Mifflin. But now there's official proof that he got the job.
DunderMifflinPaper.com has the official press release about Ryan's promotion. His new title is Vice President of Regional Sales, and he will be based out of New York City.
Ryan says that he wants to "shake up things," because "the whole concept of a paper company in today's paperless world is fundamentally flawed. I plan to take bold steps and initiate enormous reforms to bring this company back to financial viability." Sounds like he's going to put his Master's to good use.

Except that's DunderMifflinPaper.BIZ and according to the to WHOIS registration data for it, was recently registered through GoDaddy.com. While it's a very nice mockup website, there's nothing official about it.

Ack, now I have to take it back, since the NBC Universal store is integrated into the website, haha.
I wonder what the Intranet section will be

Skeptical about what, Michael? Corey said that the Dunder-Mifflin website has a link to the NBC Universal store for The Office, and there is now a link to the spoof site at www.nbc.com/The_Office. Seems pretty darn official to me.

What exactly was the reason for the confusion about ryan getting the job?
He got the call from the CFO about getting it and then he immediately broke up with kelly.
It was a twist but a very straight forward one.
(does the last sentence contradict itself?)

TV audiences are dumb. That's why. I guess many are still looking for the fat guy and the hot wife on "The Office" and change the channel because they "Just don't get it".
