Well, well, well ... did last night's show surprise you? It wouldn't have if you knew the happenings from inside the Big Brother 8 house as they happened!I was letdown by the abbreviated segment with the "mysterious visitors." Watching it on the feeds was almost magical -- the barbershop quartet sang five or six songs. But then on the show I think they knocked the whole thing down to two minutes. On the feeds, the Mini-Mad Hatter flubbed the line "a stitch in time saves nine" substituting the word "snitch" more times than he got it right. Was that shown? Nope!
Nominations are in. Read on past the jump for show spoilers!
After the feeds returned last night, things were more calm than one would expect. True, Amber cried. But then she gathered herself together to enjoy the Chinese food feast they had. Every week after the live show, the houseguests get a special meal.
Although both Jameka and Amber had the initial shock, they both mingled some with the others. But if I hear Jameka say "it's all good" one more time...! She says it in lieu of saying, "Well, this really sucks." Please make her stop!
Evel Dick, in particular, is one happy camper. Over the hours since the live show, he'll often just sit there and say, "I can't believe I'm still here!" Believe it, Evel! When he and Daniele talked about the nominations, she said she wanted to put Amber and Jameka up with a backdoor plan of Jen. Dick wants Jen out more than the others. I want Amber out.
The food comp was held today and, while details of the comp itself are scarce, three houseguests are on a slop diet this week. It's Amber, Jameka, and Jen. Now, how did that happen, I ask? Oh, but I'm sure it's all good. It's all predestined, y'know!
After an extensive feeds block this evening for the nominations ceremony, the news finally came in. Amber and Jameka are on the block. Shocking, isn't it? Amber is sure she's the target, but no worries there -- she had a premonition that she won the Power of Veto! Period, end of story. Jameka told her she'd have to save herself. They both think Jen will go up if one of them comes off the block.
But it's all good. God has a plan.
In other tidbits:
- Eric did jumping jacks in the nude in front of Jameka, Jessica, and Amber early this morning.
- Amber says she's through crying. (May lightning strike her if she's lying!)
- The Power of Veto Competition should be held tomorrow. They've been picking players on Friday nights, but more than a few houseguests have mentioned that they think the picking of players will happen in the morning.
- Eric and Jessica continue to scheme and whisper too softly for me to hear it all.
- Jameka told Amber if the final two are Jessica and Evel Dick, she'd probably vote for Dick to win because Jessica betrayed her.

Jackie, another great recap of the live feeds. I laughed out loud with the thought of Amber being struck by lightning! She would deserve the rath of God if she's lying about stopping! After all he is in the BB house for her! Oh and Jameka...I gotta do it....@@
The editing of the show amazes me, glad we have you to tell us the real skinny on what is happening, without you it would be a complete bore.
Keep up the great work.

Great update, Jackie! Thanks so much! Your comment about Amber and lightning made me think she wouldn't have a chance being that lightning and water are disasterous! LOL
Re: Amber v. Jen eviction. As much as I'd love to lose the crying, the more strategic move would be to get Jen out. She's proven herself to be quite the player despite a very rocky beginning. Amber has proven herself to be...hmmmm...well, quite the cryer!
Thanks again, Jackie :)

I swear on Amber's daughter's life that if she actually stops crying I will finally watch BB8 again without fast forwarding.

I hope Dick wins it all. He is the most entertaining person on the show, and you have to love him and his straight to the heart comments. What a guy!! Jackie you are great, your blogs are my life!!

I agree with Jessica-I am hoping Dick wins the whole thing! He is truly the only one who has actually played the game! Ok, can he be crude? sure! But even if it isn't all strategic, it has gotten the job done so far! The rest of the dimwit houseguests whine and carry on about how awful he is-even his daughter!!! but, they fall for his moves each and every time-he is the only one who deserves to win, he's the one who has played with some heart and some conviction. I always looked forward to the discussions about strategy that the houseguests in previous years would have, and the alliances and the back-stabbing, one alliance getting the other, people switching alliances unbeknownst to their alliances-that was the fun of it all! This season, they honestly don't have the intelligence to formulate a good plan-and when they do decide on a plan, someone runs off to tell the other side faster than Dick changes his nail polish! Cmon people, play the game!!!!!!!!!! Dick is out for Number 1! and he should be!! And, I believe he wants to re-establish a relationship with his daughter, if only she would stop acting like a spoiled 12yr old and LISTEN!!
Jackie-your blog is fantastic!!!!!!!! It's the first thing I look for every day-thanks again!

I was so happy that things turned out the way they did on Thursday. Didn't think it was possible and had Dick gone home I really would have stopped watching. This season is bad enough and if you take away the only guy who makes it remotely interesting bad becomes sucks.

I sincerely hope that the nominations remain Amber and Jameka because of all the people in the house, they annoy me the most. All the predestination and God bullpoo are making me sick. I hope that Jen doesn't get backdoored because I think she's a unique player and I'm actually amazed that she got this far. Also, Daniele told Jen last week that she has Jen's back, and Dick made a deal with Jen a couple weeks ago. Dick and Daniele, as far as I can tell, have played a pretty straight game and I just don't want to see them turn into the same scheming, lying, backstabbing people that everyone else seems to be.

Well, just like I was glad that it all backfired and ED stayed last week,I hope that Jen doesn't get put up and if she does, hope she can pull it off and stay. I am disappointed that now I hear she isn't playing in the POV,so let's hope whoever does win will leave the noms the same and Amber will go home. Granted she's not a strong player, but I am so tired of her.
Now,I would like to see ED and Jen in the finals? Who would everyone vote for??? I think those two played the best game. Not Eric, cause he had all that help, but those two. It would be interesting to see who the others voted for! I'm not sure that would ever come to pass if ED keeps saving little Dani's butt. I don't like the game she plays, she acts like she's the master player, but hse's NOT,she just doesn't acknowledge all the help ED has actually given her. I think ultimately,ED has played the best game, but I wouldn't be upset if Jen won. I don't want one of the "goody-two-shoes" to be up against him and have the rest of the "herd" vote them the winner.
