Ok, it was exciting the first time. Interesting the second and third time. Now, I am almost bored of Heroes casting news. Seriously, how many more people can they add to this cast? The budget over at NBC must really be 'uge -- that is Donald Trump for large, according to my Trump to English dictionary. Just earlier this week we heard that Stark Trek's Uhura (Nichelle Nichols) was added to the expanded cast for the second season. Only three days later, NBC has confirmed that Bratz's Janel Parrish has been brought on board. I guess producers are trying to add some more cute teen factor. As if Hayden Panettietre wasn't enough.
I am glad that NBC could look over Parrish's performance in Bratz: The Movie. I was pretty sure that movie was going to kill the career of anyone who got near it. Except for Jon Voight, he is untouchable. Although, to be fair, her stale acting in the doll-inspired flick is the result of a horrible project, not necessarily a horrible actress.
Parrish will play May, the head cheerleader at Claire's new school.
I smell a cat fight.
Part of the Heroes casting onslaught this summer included Nick D'Agosto, who will play Claire's new boyfriend. If my intuition, honed from years of TV watching, serves me correctly, we can expect Claire's boyfriend to either be May's ex or at least the object of her affection at some point.
A moment that has appeared in a multitude of movies and shows that could easily translate here would involve four easy steps: 1. May gets jealous of Claire 2. May attempts to seduce Claire's boy and forces a kiss 3. Claire sees said kiss and misinterprets the situation 4. Superpowered drama ensues.
Just remember ... I called it first.
