"Franco-American": Bush and French president Nicolas Sarkozy tried to be better BFFs by doing a casual lunch. Fun Fact: The only thing sexier than Laura Bush in a cone bra is Barbara Bush in whatever the hell she was wearing in that clip. Work it, Barbara, work it.And why does Franco-American make canned Italian food?
"Lone Star Estate": Senior Western White House Correspondent Samantha Bee talked about Bush's continued success in taking the most presidential vacation days. It's been 423 days of dedication, folks! It feels like we haven't seen Bee in a while, no? Actually, we haven't been seeing much of her at all.
"Is America Ready For A Black President?": Larry Wilmore filed a report on Barack Obama's appeal to the American people. Although it was pretty good (I especially enjoyed the Photoshopped picture of Obama and the Black House), I spent most of this segment wondering when Wilmore and John Oliver will team up for their next segment. I miss their team efforts. Wilmore alone often lacks a certain pizazz.
"Even Dick Don't Know Dick": Ahh, it wouldn't be the Daily Show if they didn't cover the 1994 Cheney video that recently surfaced. Well, now at least we know that Cheney's keeping himself in his man-sized safe.
The night's guest was Stephen Hayes, author of Cheney: The Untold Story of America's Most Powerful and Controversial Vice President. Of course, most of the discussion focused mainly on the 1994 Cheney video. As always, the debate would have been a little more enjoyable if the audience hadn't kept automatically cheering for nearly everything Jon said. Won't they ever learn?!
Moment of Zen: Any Bush clip set to "Sister Christian" is pretty awesome.

I love Jon Stewart. He says so much of the things the rest of the media are afraid to say.

Just in case anyone doesn't know what Jon meant when he referred to the Fox News anchor who questioned his authenticity of his grief over the 9/11 attacks http://mediamatters.org/items/200708140001 has the story and audio clip.

To be fair, the audience deserved to cheer this time. Jon really put that guy through the wringer for trying to bail Cheney out. It was one of the best interviews I've seen on TDS.

Oh John Gibson. Once an asshole, always an asshole.
One of the things I like most about the Daily Show is how they never resort to victim humor. Take Hurricane Katrina for example. They were quick to attack the government and the media for their handling of it, but they didn't make fun of the hurricane or any of the people who died in it. They know that they can be funny without exploiting tragedies (unlike a certain woman whose name rhymes with Dan Bolter).
Oh, and Mr. President, if you could get rid of Bob Gates and hire 1994 Dick Cheney as Secretary of Defense, we might be on our way home.

Patrick, it's all going to come down to the next administration. People have been saying that Jon Stewart won't have anything to do when Bush leaves office, but I think Hillary Clinton will provide a lot of material. She pretty much already has.
Oh, and there's only one "N" in Cheney.
