Out of the dozens and dozens of shows that go to pilot every season, we only see a handful. Some of them vanish forever and some might end up online in one way or another.
Below is a list of ten shows that didn't make the fall schedule on the networks this year. Some of them might show up midseason, but most won't. And just for a little added fun, I've included three shows that are completely made up. Can you tell which ones they are? I'll answer in the comments later tonight (and don't go looking online for the answer; that's no fun). The shows are listed after the jump. Some of them sound crazy, but hey, if you told me two years ago that those Geico cavemen commercials would be a series...
1. Man Is Wife (ABC): Ben Savage stars as a young executive who finds out his boss likes his employees to be married, so he poses as his own wife to hide that fact that he is single. Also stars Dabney Coleman and Sara Rue.
2. M.I.L.F. and Cookies (The CW): Comedy about a group of divorced women who live in an apartment complex. Produced by Jada Pinkett Smith.
3. The Beast (FOX): Comedy about a man who decides to become a veterinarian because he wants to meet women and women love animals.
4. The Hot Years (FOX): Four twentysomething women try to get by in this age of Britney, Paris, and Lindsay. Stars Lacey Chabert.
5. The Minister of Divine (FOX): From the press release: Who knew church could be this fun? The small, conservative farming town of Divine gets shaken up when their ancient minister dies in the middle of Sunday service and his replacement is Geraldine "Gerry" Granger (Kirstie Alley)," a chocolate-loving, joke-cracking lady pastor with a shady past.
6. I'm In Hell (CBS): Comedy about a Wall Street exec who dies in a Blackberry-related death. Stars David Cross and Jason Biggs.
7. The Stumps Of Hollywood (CBS): Twin ugly sisters and their brother from North Carolina get makeovers and move to Hollywood. Stars Michael Rapaport and Niki Cox.
8. Winters (NBC): Drama about a sexy cop who can tell when people are lying. Stars Famke Janssen.
9. The Sniper (ABC): Comedy/drama about people addicted to online auctions who suddenly find themselves trapped in a conspiracy. Stars Josh Malina.
10. In The Picture (FOX): Reality game show involving teams of contestants sent around the world who will win a million dollars if they are the first one who can get a picture of themselves with an ultra-famous celebrity.

M.I.L.F. and Cookies with Jada Pinkett Smith would have been really cool.

well number 5 is the US version of Vicar of Dibley so it's definitely not that one. oh and thank god it didn't get picked up.

#7 was definitely real, I remember reading about it a few months ago.
#5 sounds vaguely like an American attempt at The Vicar of Dibley.

M.I.L.F. and Cookies: No way the word "MILF" gets used on broadcast TV, even on the CW.
I'm In Hell: I wish this one was true (David Cross rocks!), but no way.
The Sniper: Great title, but too cute/obscure for real TV.

4-7 are real. 1 and 2 sound fake.
The rest could go either way.
And PLEASE hide #10 from Fox.

Man they all sound so bad I can't tell! 5# is definitely an American version of The Vicar of Dibley, it's probably unfortunately very real. .

2 agree with post 5
9 to easily misunderstood of a title.
10 the show would get sued by the starts or the injured contestants as they go to extremes to get the shot

1 & 2 are probably fake. I would definitely check out 5 & 9. Yes, 5 sounds like an Am. version of Vicar of whatsis, but Kirstie Alley would be worth watching.

False ones are probably The Hot Years, MILF and Cookies, and, oh, I'll go with Man Is Wife.
