Maybe your TV is connected to your home network through a home theater PC or an Xbox 360 or other media center extender. But essentially most of us force our different systems to work together. FUZE Media Systems wants to sell you a better mousetrap. The company is promoting a new "whole-home" media center.
The system includes PVR technology including a Fuzebox home theater PC with multiple CableCard tuners. The computer is a central hub for a system that delivers audio and video to any room in your house, including music, live or recorded television programming or photo slideshows. You'll need a FuzeMini client PC next to any TV for video, A FuzeTunes interface in any room wired for audio, and an optional FuzeTouch screen or remote control for controlling the whole system
The idea is that since you're buying everything from FUZE, you won't have the compatibility issues that come with buying hardware and software from various sources and hoping that everything will play nice together.
No word on pricing, but something tells us these systems aren't going to come cheap. And since you'll probably be hiring someone to install Fuze systems in your home, your price will probably include installation costs. FUZE will show off the system next month at CEDIA.
