Big Brother 8: Live feeds update - August 15

Big Brother 8 - Evel Dick at restWednesdays tend to be quiet days in the Big Brother 8 house. Since they've been featuring the voting live on the Thursday eviction show, they no longer vote on Wednesdays. Usually all that happens is they receive the HOH camera and the Head of House gets to post a diary entry for the CBS website. The linked entry is Daniele's as Jessica's entry won't go live until late tomorrow.

But something was a bit different about today in the house. If you just have to know, read on past the jump.

Warning -- extreme show spoilers ahead!

Nothing really newsworthy happened throughout the night and into the morning hours. Eric and Jessica talked all night in the HOH room while just about everyone else, friends and enemies, hung out together downstairs.

Nothing was amiss until Zach got up for the day.

Oh, my! There was a mini-Mad Hatter in the house! Looking like a young little person Mick Jagger dressed in funny garb, he ran about repeating odd sayings. Some are fairly common, but a few have a new twist on them.

  • A snitch in time saves nine.
  • Fish and visitors stink after three days.
  • What a tangled web we weave when we first practice to deceive.
  • Three people can keep a secret. Two of them are dead.
  • There is no little enemy.
  • It's not enough to succeed, for others must fail.
Big Brother 8 has been invadedAfter all of the houseguests were up and gathered, Mini-Mad Hatter led them out to the yard. What was out there? Well, there was a pirate on stilts and a barbershop quartet. The pirate and Mini-Mad danced as they sang "Ivory Rag" followed by "I'm Just Wild About Harry." Mini-Mad started repeating his sayings again, and then the quartet sang more.

Once the houseguests were allowed back in the house, there were white rabbits with playing cards attached to them in a cage in the kitchen. Mini-Mad followed them into the kitchen and kept taunting them with his lines. There was a bouquet of POV symbols on the table, too.

Once they were able to go in the backyard again -- a forced outdoor lockdown -- the singers and pirate on stilts were all gone. They talked over the clues they had been given and tried to figure what they meant. When they were allowed back inside, there was no Mini-Mad and there were no bunnies. No traces of anything unusual were left in the house.

There were a lot of number clues given to the houseguests during all of this, too. The BB voice announced, as if it held great importance, that the time was 12:36 and 47 seconds. There were numbers on the cards. Mini-Mad also kept pointing at the pictures on the Memory Wall. Why?

They're still trying to figure out what it all means. Jameka decided it was a bad omen because they put one of their own on the block. No one is sure if something else will happen today or whether it will tie into the HOH competition tomorrow night or ... what?

In other house news, Dick may or may not have been making progress in his campaign to stay. It's still hard to tell where the houseguests stand on the vote. Evel Dick has also been having to deal with his snotty whiny offspring. Daniele is really being horrible today -- she's secluding herself from everyone, she's sulking, she's being miserable to her father despite his best efforts with her. On the other hand, Evel is getting along well (on the surface, at least) with everyone else in the house.

Maybe it would be better if Daniele was on the block instead of him.

I'll leave you with a short video clip I took of Mini-Mad in the house.
