You can probably tell fall TV's almost here by how many Back to You ads Fox pumps during So You Think You Can Dance. But is Pushing Daisies as good as the commercials look? Will Bionic Woman be the next Battlestar Galactica? And can a show based on a Geico commercial be anything but terrible?
After watching all the pilots (lucky me), I started thinking about my best and worst list. I always get envious of movie critics at the end of the year, with their top 10s, top 20s -- heck, I've seen top 100s. Well, the fall season is the TV fan's time to shine.
So, I've made my list and checked it twice. Bionic is among the best and Cavemen one of the worst. Check out my full list of best and worst new fall TV shows.
Whatdo you think will end up on your best and worst list?

Would have been nice to have some basic information about the shows -- like, at least, which network and what day and time (if scheduled).

I'm still amazed so many people seem to like Chuck. That show really isn't good.
It's meant to look good, but it's neither that or funny!

That AOL site is too slow. I wish the list was posted here instead. Was flash really necessary?
Anyway, I'm looking forward to Bionic Woman. I saw a preview at the movies last weekend and I am hooked. NBC should have a decent comeback this year, after playing in the 3/4 slot for the past couple of years.

What ever happened to The IT Crowd? It was announced as a mid-season show on NBC, but I haven't heard anything about it since and it's not on your list of shows on AOL.

My god is your top five different from what I would've chosen. Pushing Daisies... that one will be canceled within three episodes as will Chuck.

I really like Pushing Daisies but i have to agree i don't think it's a show that will find a large audience. They'd much rather be watching Big Brother 25 and Survivor 83

I don't know if it's coming out in the fall, but my pick for absolute worst is The Big Bang Theory. I saw the pilot episode at the MGM Grand in Vegas. It was the worst damned show that I've seen in a long time. Just filled with terribly cliche geek stereotypes and bad jokes...ugh.

Wow. "Pushing Daisies" won't be able to last.
"Bionic Woman" was absolutely atrocious.
"Caveman" might be able to find some legs if it gets past the race metaphor.
"IT Crowd" turned out terrible.
"Reaper" is derivative but fun.
"Sarah Conner" was rough.
Basically there is a lot of sci-fi and geek programming that may or may not be fun, but will fall on its face with the world at large.

Chuck, and Bionic Woman are hugely overrated.
I think Pushing Daisies is a cool different show, but it will not live past 4 episodes.

Man I don't like hearing some of you call some of my favorites no good... they'll get on the wrong foot before they even get a chance to take off!
But I am glad that someone finally agrees with me about The Big Bang Theory. Watching that pilot was by far the worst 30 minutes of my life!

Worst shows:
- Cavemen
- Back To You
- Big Bang Theory
- Bionic Woman (my friend saw the pilot and he said it was HORRIBLE)
- Aliens in America (I saw this pilot and it was the most offensive thing I've seen on network TV. I can't believe that this show isn't causing more controversy. Maybe in a few weeks. The CW probably picked it up because it was so offensive that they knew it would generate controversy.)
- Big Shots (something about it just rubs me the wrong way)
- Samantha Who?
- Cashmere Mafia
- JourneyMan (who greenlit this project?!)
- Moonlight
- Cane (Soprano's rip off)
- Kid Nation (in theory, it's interesting, but it's probably a horrific series)
- K-Ville (stop playing up New Orleans just because it was hit by a hurricane)
- Carpoolers
- Women's Murder Club
HOPING THAT THEY'RE AS GOOD AS THEY LOOK:
- Pushing Daisies (will have Studio 60's fate, I'm sorry to say)
- Dirty Sexy Money
Yeah, I don't have much faith in the new season.

I enjoyed "Pushing Daisies", but I don't think it has a chance in hell. On cable? Maybe. In the UK? Possibly. But not on US network TV. Have you ever noticed that when Tim Burton makes a movie that isn't a comic book license or a remake of a pop culture classic, the box office is... adequate? That's the best the show can hope for... unless they put it on on Sunday night with "Ugly Betty" as a lead-in. And if the ratings somehow come through, it's time to worry about sustaining the concept.
I've seen the Bionic Woman pilot -- the original one, not the retooled version where the deaf sister becomes a non-deaf hacker and blah blah blah -- and it's absolutely, cringe inducingly awful. It's like "Alias" without the charm and realistic interpersonal relationships. Katee Sackhoff hams her way through it as if she's been told that her unused takes will be served to poor families as Christmas dinner, and Miguel Ferrer looks like he's holding back tears for his career.

Pushing Daisies seems like a formulaic dramedy that they added the extra little bit about touching people thing in to "make it fresh".
I'm looking forward to Bionic Woman, and honestly that's about it. The problem with that show is that it's on NBC, so if I think it's a great show it will be canceled because people won't "get it" and if I think it's a terrible show, it'll live on for 15 seasons with 3 different Bionic Women in the lead role.
Chuck might be interesting if it weren't so oversexed. I'm sorry but contrary to popular belief, geeks do get laid and aren't always obsessed about hot blonde women.
Oh well, another year, another ridiculously sad line-up.

I'm predicting that Pushing Daisies will be an unfortunate victim of it's own hype. I seriously doubt if it's a "mainstream" series. The critics are already anointing it "the best new show". The American tv viewers, hearing the buzz, will check out the pilot....and after finding it too offbeat, many will not return the following week. I feel that fledgling tv shows are better off sneaking onto schedules without fanfare, so that inflated expectations don't lead to immediate disappointment-and immediate cancellation.
I actually think "Dirty Sexy Money" has a better chance to catch on because the hype over "Pushing Daisies" has overshadowed it. Personally, I'm awaiting the arrival of "Dirty Sexy Money" much more than "Pushing Daisies".

Oh, don't be so negative! I only have a good list and it includes everything. For some strange reason, I'm really really sensitive about televison and any negative comments just knock down my self confidence. But I remain positive. I have an unwavering faith in television. Lots of last minute changes are made, you can't be sure about a TV show until you finally see it air. And have some hope that shows won't get cancelled! Just watch them and spread the good word to the people you know, new shows need all the attention they can get.

I've got to disagree regarding Cavemen. I saw the pilot and actually found it quite funny and capable of at least sustaining a season.... perhaps this says something about me that I liked it, but it certainly could have been very very bad, and surprisingly wasn't.

I'd rather have a red-hot poker shoved up my ass than watch a TV show based on unfunny insurance commercials. What's next? The old-timey Guinness guys, "Mac" & "PC" , and Erin Esurance move into an apartment together and experience life, laughs & love together in some chic Manhattan neighborhood? I'll just watch reruns of the Simpsons instead.

I'm also so tired of hearing the hype about Pushing Daisies. TV critics seem to be tripping over themselves to see who can give this show the best review.
I saw the pilot and wasn't impressed. It's less adorably quirky and more obnoxiously gimicky. The narration drove me crazy. If that guy keeps calling Ned "the Pie Maker" in every ep, I will... well, let's face it, I won't be watching. This show will end like Studio 60, but without the AMAZING pilot.
