This December, HBO will air a documentary about the genocide happening in the Darfur region of Sudan. It's called Sand and Sorrow, and it's narrated by George Clooney. The special aims to chronicle the history that led up to the current violence and point fingers of blame at the international community for ignoring the crisis.The documentary follows around three prominent Americans as they travel through Sudan to investigate the mass killings and then to the United States as they attempt to get international attention for the situation. The Americans featured are activist John Prendergast, Harvard professor Samantha Power and NYT columnist Nicholas Kristof.
