Craig Robinson, who plays warehouse foreman Darryl Philbin on The Office, will appear in a new Web series for MSN starting August 15.
The series, called Mr. Robinson's Driving School, is heavily financed by Volvo, and unfortunately, there's not much information about what the actual series will be about, other than Robinson trying "to prove he's the best driving instructor in town." Oh, and he drives the new C30 four-seat hatchback from Volvo, natch. Volvo, however, reassures Web audiences that the company did not interfere with the plot or the story, whatever the hell that might be.
The series will also include some interactivity for viewers, including a driving lessons game and a chance to leave voicemails that may be used in future episodes.
Three episodes will debut on August 15 on MSN's site, followed by a new episode every week for thirteen weeks.

i LOVE the character of Daryl and hope they use him more this season. This could be a great spinoff of an interesting (but underused) character. Perfect vehicle (pun intended) for the web.

He was one of the reasons I loved "Lucky". And I like Volvos. What's not to like about this? I've got my fingers crossed.
Volvo for life.
