There is a certain amateurish charm to most YouTube fanvids, especially when they have to do with unconventional romances between characters that aren't explicitly stated in the show's canon. Usually the videos consist of poorly chosen clips from various episodes, cut together to kind of, sort of look like knowing glances and to kind of, sort of feel like sexual tension. However, every once in a while, I stumble across a fanvid so outrageously well-done that I am compelled to share with everyone I know, fans and non-fans alike.Recently, I came across this beauty, right here... A Star Trek fanvid of Kirk and Spock lovin', set to the soothing sounds of Nine Inch Nails' "Closer". It was uploaded back in September of 2006, so maybe some of you have seen it already, but I thought it was worth a share just in case there are those that still need to be enlightened. The video is beautifully edited and really puts an, um, interesting spin on the Kirk/Spock relationship... and pon farr.
Mind you, this video is NSFW... unless your workplace is totally cool with split-second shots of possible buttsecks and the uncensored lyrics of "Closer".
