If you've been moaning over the lack of series centered on gay puppets, I have some good news for you.
Last November, I told you about a project from Jim Henson Studios called Tinsel Town (or Tinseltown, everyone seems to spell it differently). The series features two gay Muppets, a bull named Samson Knight and a pig named Bobby Vegan, who adopt a human child.
At the time, the project was being shopped around to various networks, but as the months wore on and other Henson projects came to fruition, I assumed this one had been lost forever. I was rather bummed about that, because I thought the premise alone was hysterical and rife with possibilities.
It's a few days old, but I did find a brief mention of the series over at Animation Magazine. It looks like now it'll be a Web series, which is better than no series at all. Still, if the monkeys who run television weren't so afraid to try new things, I think this series could have found an audience of people aching for something weird and different. Apparently, the crowd at Comic Con absolutely loved it, so I'm excited to see it when it hits the Web, whenever that might be.
I will keep you posted as more information surfaces.
Note: the pic is from Puppet Up, another Brian Henson production.

What's with the muppets that look like phallic symbols in that picture... one is even in that other muppets mouth.... subliminal?

Hey guys saw this at comic con, it was hilarious.
They're gay because Brian can't do female voices.
Oh, by the way ,that PHALLIC symbol is a hotdog.
And Bert and Ernie were not gay They were developmentally challenged adults who, to cut costs, lived together in the city.
