Film critic Roger Ebert, sidelined by cancer since last year, will conduct a live chat at the Ebert & Roeper site tonight starting at 8pm (Eastern).
The chat is to launch a new service at the site, a video archive where you can watch reviews from the show dating back to the mid-80s. Sure, there's plenty of Richard Roeper stuff in there, but the real gems to watch are going to be all of the shows that Ebert did with the late Gene Siskel. They got into some truly spirited arguments you haven't seen on the show since.
Fans have been able to watch the latest Ebert & Roeper shows online for several months now, but this will be the first time that all of Siskel & Ebert's stuff has been available. Well, not all of it. Some of the really early stuff has been lost forever.

It's really great to see Roger returning to work, to the degree he can as he recovers from his surgery. It's been such a pleasure to read some of his reviews of recent movies on his web site rogerebert.com. And although he can't speak right now, he's doing this online chat as a way of communicating with his readers/viewers/fans.
