(S08E11) I don't think I can bear to witness another one of those painfully awkward conversations between Dick and Daniele.
Tonight's version started out with Dick reaching out to his daughter, escalated to Daniele yelling about how frustrated she was, and ended with a sad little tear dripping off the end of Dick's nose along with a promise that things would be fixed.
I'm all for the two of them reconciling their differences and moving forward as a family, I've simply grown tired of watching it play out on Big Brother.
We get it CBS. Dick and Daniele have some issues to work through. You made it blatantly apparent ten minutes into episode one so do we really need to be dedicating a full five minutes to the same issue 11 episodes into the season?
I hate to say it, but I almost hope one of them gets evicted soon. Their drama has become more of a hindrance to the game than a tool that helps to push it forward. The sooner it gets removed the better in my opinion.
Enough on that. Tonight's episode was a little disjointed and seemed to rapidly hop around from one topic to the next.
To begin with, we got to watch Dick rip into Jen because he was 100% positive that she cast the second vote for Kail, although we know that she didn't.
Zach cast the first vote for Kail out of respect for Mike and America directed Eric to vote for Kail.
The house guests dwelled on this issue for quite some time, and Nick ended up receiving a brunt of the ill effects because Amber convinced several people in the house that Nick is playing multiple sides and that he probably voted for Kail in an effort to maintain his alliance with Mike.
I felt sorry for Nick for about a second, then I took another look at the dusty 70's pornstache he's been growing and reconsidered. I pray that the next America's challenge let's America pick who Eric will covertly slip a roofie to and shave in the middle of the night. Nick would win hands down.

Next we got to witness a bizarre conversation take place between Amber and Dick regarding the fact that Amber loves her dog as much as she loves her daughter.
I thought this entire segment had Dick living up to the slang meaning of name. I have a couple of cats, and while I don't personally love them as much as I love my munchkin, I don't find it particularly bizarre when someone considers their pet to be an equal member of the family.
Speaking of bizarre, we got to witness Dick wake up in the middle of the night, go to the kitchen, and rig the sprayer in the kitchen sink to spray the next person to use the faucet. He called his shenanigans "The Dick at Night Show". I'm not sure how many other little pranks he's played on the house guests, but I'd be interested in seeing some more.
We also got to hear Zach throw out the following two quotes:
"I did a comic book convention in Atlanta. Tons of freaks, tons of weirdos. They had uh, 5 girls strip naked upside down on chains, wrapped in Saran Wrap with eggs cracked all over their bodies. All of the men had cat of five tails on fire and beat the shit out of these women upside down until the flames went out...I just sat there and watched."
"If there's no one in the back room and I fart, does it smell?"
No wonder Daniele said "I would rather eat slop for a month than have to sit and talk to Zach for an hour." The house really seems to detest the guy.
Food Competition - The Humpty Scramble
Tonight's food competition put the house guests in teams of two in an effort to put together a broken egg puzzle.
The teams were:
Kail and Evel
Jameka and Jessica
Nick and Daniele
Eric and Zach
Amber and Jen
Dustin was the host.
Despite Kail and Dick getting off to a quick start, Jameka and Jessica ended up putting their puzzle together first. They were then tasked with the unenviable task of assigning five of the house guests to eat slop for the next week.
They chose Evel, Zach, Kail, Nick, and Jen the last of which seemed excited to be put on slop because she has no self control when it comes to eating normal food.
America's Player - Who should Eric get nominated for eviction?
America must really have it out for Jen because they picked her as Eric's target for the week
Next America will decide which catch phrase Eric should attempt to start in the Big Brother house.
The choices are:
1. Sweet Chicken!
2. Booyakah!
3. I'd do that for a dollar!
What a stupid challenge. They really should have went with the "drug and covert shave" suggestion from above.
Eviction Ceremony
The keys were pulled out in the following order:
Amber, Jessica, Dick, Jameka, Nick, Zach, Daniele, Eric
Once again, Kail and Jen were put up for eviction and in an unexpected twist - Jen actually showed a little emotion and cried after she learned Dustin put her up for eviction citing the fact that it hurt her feelings. Is the tough, "nothing bothers me" attitude beginning to erode from the usually unflappable Jen?
I'm sure we'll find out more on Tuesday.

Anyone else see these two ending up on Dr. Phil or with their own freaking reality show on mending their relationship? I think I might puke if this happens.....

I will have to watch it again to get the exact quote, but when Dustin was accusing Jen of voting for Kail, he said, "It's not like someone from the outside came in and voted for her" (not exact quote) Which I found humorous because that is exactly what happened, through America's Player.

Dan and Dick's tearful conversations just seem really out of place on this silly, summertime show. Has anyone heard what started the whole father/daughter drama?

Someone should tell Daniele that she can't get respect from someone, while whining, screaming, blubbering, and frankly, not listening.

They interviewed the brother a couple of weeks ago and he mentioned that Dick loaned Danielle some money that wasn't paid back. I'm sure that wasn't the only reason, but probably the straw that broke the camels back.
