Killer Wave coming to ION in August -- VIDEO

Tom Skerritt portrays a Mr. Burns-like CEO in the miniseries KILLER WAVEYou know, we haven't had a decent made-for-television disaster movie or miniseries since ABC aired the scarefest Fatal Contact: Bird Flu in America last year. Wait, something's wrong with that sentence. Oh yeah, take out the word decent and everything looks better. Anywhosit, thanks to the ION network (you probably remember them as PAX) we now have a new disaster miniseries to whittle away our summer viewing time.

It's called Killer Wave and it's about, you guessed it, a killer tsunami. This time around, though, it isn't a natural occurrence and it doesn't wash away various island nations. In this movie the deadly waves are man-made and they wreak havoc up and down the Eastern Untied States seaboard.

The tsunamis are created by a huge corporation and their rouge CEO (played by Tom Skerritt) in order to win a multi-billion dollar contract from the government to build a sea wall along the East Coast and prevent their company's bankruptcy. Two marine biologists discover this diabolical chicanery and have to evade FBI agents and paid assassins to, dare we say it, save the world (well, at least the East Coast).

The miniseries will air on one night -- Saturday, August 5th. However, I'm sure it will be rerun several more times afterward. If this peaks the tiniest bit of interest in you, yet you don't know what channel airs ION in your area, you can click right here to find out. If you'd like to see a preview before you commit to anything look no further than right below these words.
