Jimmy Kimmel has taken his Matt Damon joke to the next level, by actually placing a full-page advertisement in Variety congratulating Damon on his star on Hollywood Boulevard. Kimmel has an on-going joke on his show where he pretends that he ran out of time and had to bump Matt Damon from the schedule-- he frequently apologizes to Damon at the end of his show. Damon even played along when he appeared on Kimmel last year, pretending to be annoyed at always getting bumped. The ad says: "Congratulations on the star and sorry we ran out of time. We'll try to squeeze you in soon." And, at the bottom, it says, "This ad cost me $8,512". That's an expensive joke. Do you think he can write it off as a business expense?

Sorry to disagree peter, but Jimmy Kimmel is by far the funniest and smartest host on late night TV.

I like Kimmel. He's a funny guy. But his talk show is rarely ever funny. Does that make sense? Because that's the best way I can describe the feeling I have about him and his talk show.

Jimmy Kimmel is a great wingman and works well with other funny guys... he was good on Win Ben Stein's Money and even on The Man Show, though Adam Corrola was the funnier of the two. I never thought Kimmel could sustain a late night show as he's not witty or off-the-cuff clever enough, but then look at how successful Jay Leno is so what do I know... :)
