I live in the area and we are all pissed about the whole mess. The mayor of Murphy should have been shot and the city manager promoted. The people from the community that complained should have been given eviction notices, as well. The sister of Bill Conradt is an idiot and is searching for the deepest pockets. The prosecutor's office of Collin county should be cleaned out and closed down for lack of intelligence. They blamed Perverted Justice for a lack of paperwork, by PJ has documented evidence of providing the requested documents and evidence, in a manner that meets with state law, to the prosecutor's office. The biggest question in the state right now is how these perverts were allowed freedom when everywhere else, INCLUDING DALLAS, has prosecuted the crap out of these perverts and they are all on their way to prison.

Whomever at NBC that decided that catching perverts and pedophiles preying on children could pass as entertainment should be fired. They could have done the same thing without televising it.

As for the show passing as a deterrent - I don't see that happening.

If you dont think that parading these weirdos and sickos up and down the dial makes a difference than I am surprised that you even figured out how to get that metal box with the moving pictures to turn on. Take a look through your history book, while it hasnt always been the classiest way, public humiliation has been one of the more prevelant (and succesful) forms of punishment throughout the years.

Than take a look at these stoopid DAs. They dont even do anything about these pervs when they are served up on a silver platter. Why? Probably b/c they dont want to give any credence to the people that busted their pedo friend.

NBC will easily win, and this will only bring more attention to a much needed show. These online perv's are asking for it - knowing this could be a sting and they could be caught. I just wish NBC would air this show all year.

Only voyeurs and pedophiles watch TCaP if you ask me. All the others spend the time it takes to watch this piece of junk show with their children or do something useful like plant a tree or maybe take a place in a child's life a child molester could occupy because of lack of better suited volunteers.

This show does nothing else than give child molesters an opportunity - an opportunity that will not present itself if people would educate children about what NOT to do. If a child isn't hanging around in chat rooms to get in contact with these people, they can't get into contact with these pervs.

The only thing that this show shows is: there are chatrooms on the internet where children can get into contact with perverts. What I really really wonder is why this hasn't spurred an outcry to shut down every chatroom in the world. Because saying that putting fake teens in these chatrooms to present an easy bait for "predators" lingering there is just like laying a 100 $ bill on the ground and waiting for people to pick it up - and then interrogate them why they did not give it back to the person it belongs to. People are BAD an because of that, we lock our doors and take our money to the bank. Instead of taking care of our children we think that baiting people who are sick in their minds, who have a defunct sex drive would take care of the problem.

Totally idiotic. And what makes me even more sick is that NBC is making money off of this via advertising. If it really were such a gift towards society they would give that money to organizations taking care of abused children.

They turn child molestation into a business. Makes me sick.

While i don't see any grounds for litigation, I find it absurd that anyone really thinks this show is anything more than entertainment/voyeurism. This show is perfect exemplar of the scary world syndrome and gives a disproportionate view of predators that "lurk" on the web.

This show was not to detour but ensnare and televise for rating. I have no sympathy for the guys that got caught. If law enforcement was doing this on their own it would be fine. But the show seem to orchestrate everything. It seems that it's only goal was to get rating and not really catch or detour this Perverted behavior. I have always wondered how real or even how effective to show was. I figured if it was real something like this was going to happen, obliviously NBC didn't think or just didn't care, as long as they got rating. The stunts pulled on this show seem to get worse with every new airing.

I've been in the mental health field for a long time and I can honestly and clinically confirm that Conradt had his own mind about his addiction, with or without Dateline. Those around this event cannot blame each other. Unfortunately, 'Predator' provided a conclusion to his agony. It very easily could have been a trial where he would be exposed about injuring children, or, God forbid, a murder trial. The greater good is served when justice is swift. Too many predators have carried on as usual for too long.

I hate sexual predators as much as the next guy, and i am all for castrating these sickos.

HOWEVER, investigating and capturing these criminals should ONLY be in the hands of exrtremly well trained / experienced professionals, who know what they are doing. NOT in the hands or amateurs, let alone the media, whose only motive is money! these ppl who work on the show are out to make money, i dont know if they truly and deeply care about catching these criminals for nothing in return!

thus, it is very dangerous when you have ppl motivated solely by profit handling an investigation of this calibre. What if they made a mistake? who's accountable?

That lady is crazy, I saw her in an interview and she said NBC et all murdered her brother. This lady just can't open up to the truth of what her brother was: a gay pedophile. Not to equate homosexuality with pedophilia mind you, but those were two very big shocks to her. Instead of dealing with it she is lashing out at whomever she can. I feel sorry for her, but this case should be thrown out.

The spectacle will be the District Attorney refusing to prosecute the " Dirty Two Dozen Texans ". I'm sorry for the grief this man caused his family but he to was Assistant Prosecutor, Those Titles come with a responsibility? and firing the Mayor! Need we ask ourselves the direction of the County they represent is going? I think NBC should hire Perry Mason and for those who are upset with NBC, cable has over 200 channels, go for it.

The bush administration contains many people, the plural sense. Everyone in the Bush Administration always wants to blame someone else. But, Bill Conradt knew what he did was very wrong and his social status would suffer tremendously. There was no one to blame for his actions but himself. Totally two different situations. Ever read The Scarlett Letter?
Public humiliation is one of the best punishments.
