NBC considered Monday night's broadcast of Victoria Beckham: Coming to America a success. So much so, in fact, that the network is re-airing the one-hour special tonight (10 pm) with new footage. The net also shot some new video with Beckham that has her "hosting" tonight's comedy line-up, which includes repeats of My Name is Earl, 30 Rock, The Office, and Scrubs. We had a heated debate about her ratings over on this post earlier this week, so here's the bottom line. Beckham's special won the time slot in key demographics, which is adults ages 18-49. In overall viewers, she did not entice more viewers than a Wife Swap rerun on ABC. That, coupled with bad reviews, is why so many media outlets declared her special a spectacular failure the morning after it aired. NBC, however, is rightfully claiming victory because the number of viewers was up significantly for the time period over the previous week and the previous year.
I thoroughly enjoyed Victoria Beckham and found her to be witty and charming during Monday night's broadcast. She jokes about her celebrity status and poses--tongue in cheek--for the cameras. I don't think reviewers understood that she has a dry sense of humor and was poking fun at herself the entire time. I'd recommend catching her show tonight to see what that Posh pout is all about.

Victoria Beckham is Englands revenge for sending us Britney and Paris. Next time be more careful or we will send another over - e.g. Jade Goody. And that is the nuclear option!

Oh lord. They're trying to trot out her awful show one more time? I also just read that David is getting a reality show of his own. What is it with these people? There's an entertaining take on why America doesn't care about Posh and Becks here: http://www.unboundedition.com/content/view/1515/50/

How much is NBC getting paid to air this - Must be a back hander somewhere!!! It is not wry nor is it ironic. Desperate is the word I think you may be looking for. We feel your pain America.

I viewed the special with an open mind, and I was really amused by her. a weekly thing may have been too much, but it was edited nicely.

I absolutely love this show. I heard there were supposed to be 6 episodes why have they not advertised it.I have read differnet post that they may not be bringing the show back. If anyone feels the same as me go to nbc.com and let them know. If they do not bring it back they are making a "major" mistake. I think this is the best show that has been on in ages.

It is rare that a person looks like a ghoul from any camera angle. That's talent.
