This seems like a no-brainer, and I wonder why they haven't done it before. A video game based on The Price Is Right will be in stores in time for Christmas.
Now, that will be long after the CBS show picks a new host to replace Bob Barker (the latest rumor: Drew Carey could get the gig, if he audtions and his new game show Power of 10 does well in the ratings), so there's no word on there will be any host depicted in the game. But all the classic games will be there: Contestant's Row, Plinko, the Showcase Showdown, and there will be real products in the game just like on the TV show.
I just hope they also have annoying, screaming audience members who can confuse the contestants, and women who run down the aisle and their boobs fall out of their dresses.

Bob, they did make some video games of Price before.
GameTek made one in 1990 for DOS and Commodore 64.
(Wikipedia is your friend... I didn't remember which platforms it was made for, but I did remember there was one made.)

I'm a huge fan of "The Price is Right," but I don't get the excitement over a video game. For me, the fun of the show is the show itself, not trying to play "against a computer" with arbitrary prices for products that may or may not really exist.
If I can't win any stuff anyway, I'd rather watch someone else play for real.

John O'Hurley is easily the best candidate to replce Bob Barker. PLEASE SPARE US. We don't want Rosie or Drew Carey or Joey Futone. O'Hurley is classy, funny and would be a great asset to CBS. If Drew Carey is host, I know the price is right is finished just like he is.

My family has all watched the Price Is Right over the past years that Bob Barker has been on the show. Our one granddaughter, Mariah, who has CP and is in a wheelchair never misses watching each day. BUT if Drew Carey is chosen to host the show, we've all agreed, that we will not watch the show anymore. He's from our area of Northeast Ohio, but we find him crude and not at all entertaining. Believe me, we have a large extended family all over the U.S. and we have a family website and keep in touch will such changes as this. Please seriously, DO NOT choose DREW CAREY!!!!!! Thanks!!!! The Hawes' all over the United States
