The search for Rosie's replacement continues.
Ivanka Trump, Donald's daughter, says that she has no interest in being on The View because she's much too busy and co-hosting a daily talk show just doesn't fit into her plans at this time. She was actually considering it, because she had a good time on The View before Rosie was on it and would probably have a good time now that Rosie is gone.
Maybe they shouldn't even get a full-time, permanent host. The ratings seem to be good since Rosie left and they've had a rotating group of guest hosts. Maybe that can be their "thing," a new, mysterious guest host each day.
By the way, remember when Rosie said she wasn't going away completely, that she'd still show up now and then to guest host? Yeah, right.

Rosie made those comments before she got into an argument with Elizabeth -- so she won't be returning. I thought ratings had softened since she left. Isn't Whoopi goldberg a good choice?

They should bring on a really good host to replace Rosie. My vote would go to Whoopi or even better Connie Chung--who I think would bring back some class and maybe some fun to the show. Who can forget her MSNBC farewell song?
I also like them keeping an open chair for a rotating guest host like they did when Rosie was still there.

I like the idea of Whoopie. While she appeared low class at the DNC, she was well informed and a good guest on some conservative talk shows even though I lean conservative. She would be better for the seat than the foaming at the mouth Rosie.

I really like Ivanka, however she is just to inexperienced to restore credibility to the table. I LOVE the idea of Connie Chung - she is well known, intelligent, sophisticated and politically saavy. The show desperately needs a proven personality to return from it's tarnished image.

Huh? They've lost half a million viewers. That's a big deal in daytime.

Mad TV's Bobby Lee as Connie Chung might be a better choice.
