Right now, Internet TV platforms like Joost are basically the ghost of television shows past. Want to watch old episodes of Rocky and Bullwinkle or Babylon 5? No problem. But fresher content is a bit harder to come by.That's why it's rather impressive to see that Joost has landed a deal with VH1 to premiere the entire season of the new sitcom I Hate My 30s starting July 16th. That's ten days before the show will air on VH1.
The series' eight half-hour episodes follow a group of adults who are turning 30 and dealing with all those things you deal with when you realize your life is about a third of the way over. But you probably guessed that from the title.
Joost will likely insert some advertising, but the amount of money networks like VH1 can make from internet video ads is still small potatoes when compared to television advertising rates. But VH1 officials say they don't expect to lose television viewers to Joost. Rather, they hope the partnership will help promote the show by building early buzz for the TV program.
A relatively small number of people are using Joost today, but those early adopters are probably a good target audience -- they're the obnoxious ones who keep telling their friends about all the cool things they can do with their computer. And maybe, just maybe, they'll also tell their friends about a show they watched on their computer -- if it's any good.

Sneak peak... that is a funny pun, emphasizing that they acquired the best highlight of the series about people's lives who have peaked at age 30.
Or perhaps you meant sneak peek.

Hey, that is funny. I'll just leave the typo so that your comment makes sense. And because it messes up the URL if you change the title.
