AMD will release two new HDTV tuners in its ATI TV Wonder line of products later this year.The ATI TV Wonder 600 USB is, not surprisingly, a USB dongle-style TV tuner, for use with laptop or desktop PCs. it can capture standard or high definition cable or over the air programming.
The USB tuner cmes with a credit-card sized infrared remote control and an A/V input adapter for capturing video from analog sources like a camcorder or VCR.
The TV Wonder 650 PCIe is a desktop tuner card that can capture over-the-air or cable programming, including ClearQAM unencrypted high definition television. It also packs an FM radio tuner.
No word on pricing, but the TV Wonder 600 USB and 650 PCIe should be out in North America this fall.
