Fans of ABC's canceled-too-soon series The Nine will be happy to know that the six unaired episodes of the series will see the light of the small screen this summer. The series, starring actors such as Tim Daly, Chi McBride, John, Billingsley, and Kim Raver, will return to ABC in its old 10 p.m. ET on Wednesdays timeslot starting August 1.
The Futon Critic confirms that the network will air all six unaired episodes. However, the website also warns fans that they should not except much answers in those final episodes as the 13th episode as not planned as a series finale.
The Nine revolved around characters who were taken hostage during a bank robbery turned bad. Every episode tackled how each character deals with the aftermath of this dramatic event and also features chronological flashbacks of the hostage situation.
ABC's website has an official description of the August 1 episode, "Turning Point": Eight of the nine are brought to the District Attorney's office to relive the security guard's murder, Kathryn is offered an endorsement by the Mayor for District Attorney, and Lizzie becomes aware of the relationship between Jeremy and Franny.

Nice that ABC is going to air the remaining episodes (hopefully we'll get them all) but it would be even better if they found some way to tell us what happened in the bank!

TVSeriesFinale.com: The best I could see them do is do like FOX did a few years ago when JOHN DOE was canceled after the season 1 finale and sent a press release with answers so fans knew what DOE was all about.
Sadly, THE NINE didn't know before they produced Episode 13 that they would be canned. Otherwise, we could have had a series finale. Then again, some series were warned in advance (see REUNION) and the creators decided to NOT wrap up things to piss off the network for having canceled them.

r.ten: When other countries pick up US series that have unaired episodes, those countries get the whole set of produced episodes. It is not surprising that you are seeing those episodes now.
For example, New Zealand is currently watching "Men In Trees" episodes that will air this Fall in the US. Some "Joey" episodes didn't air in the US but did in Europe. Etc. The list is long.

Hey, Egan: saw you last night on Standoff. Looks like it was a very physical experience for you with all those dunks in the ice water. I really enjoyed that episode.
Perhaps you could post the answers to The NINE in your blog. (lol)
Bob, out!

But I don't remember what happened on that show back in November! Hell, I can barely remember the characters.
