I'm curious what the actual numbers were; specifically, how close was #2 to #1 (I would hope The Closer had significantly higher ratings than some awards show)

Hmmm, a three hour edition of WWE Raw. Normally it's two hours. Would those three hours in the top 10 be from the incredibly well thought out Chris "double homicide/suicide" Benoit's tribute show? Yikes.

There's talk of RAW going to three hours every week.

Heh, awesome. Just what the cable TV world was clamoring for. Three hours of professional wrestling is a can't lose scenario. Just ask TNT when they ran 3 hours of WCW Monday Nitro several years ago.... um... never mind. "Characters Welcome", indeed.

The way USA network views it, it's 3 hours of guaranteed top 10 cable ratings each week. I think this is the last thing the WWE needs however.

You mean when it was the number one rated program, only finally dethroned by RAW on USA?

I was thinking more along the lines when the ratings tanked, TNT cut it back to two hours and ultimately yanked it's timeslot 6 years ago contributing to the company going out of business and being sold to WWE. More along the lines of that, rather then the small 3 year window in the mid to late 90's you're thinking of.
