Some very cool news for fans of This American Life, the Showtime version of the long-running public radio mainstay. The first season of the series is now available on iTunes for $1.99 per episode (six episodes total) or $10.99 for the whole season. You can also download the radio version for free, just in case you didn't know.
I'll admit I didn't get into This American Life, the radio series or the TV program, until recently after hearing for many years how compelling and well-made it is. Those people were right, and it's become a permanent fixture on both my Tivo and my iPod. If they made a This American Life pamphlet, I would subscribe to that, too.
This American Life reminds me, to some degree, of the works of Errol Morris, the documentary filmmaker with a knack for finding interesting people in unlikely places, or, perhaps more correctly, both This American Life and Morris' short-lived First Person prove everyone has a tale worth telling.
Also, host Ira Glass does mention the possibility of a DVD release, though nothing official just yet.

I agree, and I'm addicted to listening in realtime on the air.
I have one problem, though - I've purchased the TV Show on iTunes, but it won't sync to my video iPod. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.
I've checked off all the episodes, and synced several times. I have other music videos off o iTunes that synced just fine.
Any advice?
Thanks,
