The last two episodes of FOX's Drive - remember that show? - were scheduled to air this Wednesday, July 4, but the network has changed its mind and has shifted them to Friday, July 13 instead. Ooooooo, Friday the 13th.
The first episode, "The Extra Mile," will air at 8pm, and then the series finale, appropriately titled "Rear View," will air immediately after at 9pm. The press release is actually calling this episode a "season finale," so there's no word on whether we'll get a real closure to the series or whether they'll be a lingering questions answered (on the DVD, no doubt). Bones will be pre-empted that night but will return the following week.

There won't be any closure to the series unfortunately. The race wasn't intended to end after six episodes so we'll likely never know what would have happened.
Since only the six episodes were produced, I doubt we'll see a DVD release either. A shame.

Yesterday I just programmed my DVR to record both shows on July 4th. I wonder why they changed the schedule. Well more people may see it on a Friday night than on July 4th.

according to my Tivo schedule, the Seattle Fox station is showing the two episodes at 3 and 4 am on the 14th.
3 and 4 am? WTF?

This poor show got bad treatment *again*? Show it some respect, Fox! Of course, I think the 13th is a better day than the 4th, but why couldn't they make it that in the first place? It was a good show, and it made me really happy when it was on, I just wish it could be shown some love and respect here. And if there are DVDs, I'll definitley be buying them.

Well, they could do an episode like the Lost catch-up episodes and wrap up the season is two hours easily.

It was on twice. twice. It never had a chance for word of mouth to grow the audience.
It getting poor rating right away may not be their fault, but not giving it a chance is. Its the same thing time and again with them. If its not AI, instant gratification ratings, they arent interested. Theyd rather re-run House again. And again.
I wont pretend this show was Firefly, but it was shaping up to be a solid, intriguing show.
I wont be fooled again Fox. From now on I might try a new show when it goes to DVD, but not before. Its just not worth it.

Yes the show was so well made with mountains in Florida...
Anyways, they had plenty of time for word of mouth, they showed commericals for months and months and months before it primered.

Pls. DO NOT cancel 'Drive' ... one of the best tv series ever! esp Nathan Fillion - a good actor - gives justice to his roles, as always. There are so many tv shows that need to be cancelled but Drive is aint one of them !!!!!
