Huh.
Farfour, the Mickey Mouse-looking host of a children's program that encouraged Palestinian children to rise up against Israel, is now dead. On the final episode of Tomorrow's Pioneers, Farfour was "killed" by an actor portraying an Israeli official after refusing to sell his land.
The program and its teachings have been harshly criticized by both Israeli officials and the Palestinian Broadcasting Corporation.
I decided to get an expert opinion on this, so I spoke with Cookie Monster:
Me: How do you feel about a show like this, being a children's show character yourself?
Cookie Monster: Well, folks have strong feelings when it comes to their religion and heritage.
Me: True. Are you religious?
Cookie Monster: I believe god is cruel. I mean, people think I'm addicted to cookies, but that's not true. I was created without a throat, so all I can do is chew on the cookies and let them fall to the floor. I keep stuffing more into my mouth because I can never get full. I wake up every day and scream to the heavens for being cursed in this manner.
Me: That's really depressing.
Cookie Monster: Yeah, well, I stopped praying for an esophagus a long time ago. I tried injecting liquid Malamars, but I guess I don't have blood vessels, either.
Me: And despite all of this, you never tell children to kill people.
Cookie Monster: I need these children to become scientists and build me some new insides, that's why.

Wow I never knew the troubles Cookie Monster has. It sounds like he has some form of depression which sucks because he can't swallow pills either.

Adam, your Cookie Monster interview was very funny.
(Also the comment about not being able to swallow pills to treat his depression. Ha!)
I wouldn't normally take the time to tell you that, but seeing as some people feel it's worthwhile to tell you you're *not* funny, I might as well chime in to say your posts are always among my favorites.

"You and I are laying the foundation for a world led by Islamists," the cartoon character named Farfour squeaked on a recent episode of the show, entitled "Tomorrow's Pioneers."
"We will return the Islamic community to its former greatness, and liberate Jerusalem, God willing, liberate Iraq, God willing, and liberate all the countries of the Muslims invaded by the murderers."
Children call in to the show, many singing Hamas anthems about fighting Israel.
Ah, the refreshing stench of moral relativism. Yeah, some folks do "have strong feelings when it comes to their religion and heritage." And other people use a cartoon character to convince children to become genocidal human bombs. It's like Joe Camel, only with explosives and actually being marketed to kids.

Didn't realize that italics tags didn't work... The first three sections in my comment above are a quote from an AP story on the recently deceased.
