Joey FatoneAre you ready to sing like a bee? NBC hopes you are as starting on Tuesday, July 10, the network will air The Singing Bee. In a press release sent earlier today, the network confirms that Joey Fatone will host this sing-along variety game show.

Fatone is best known for having been a member of *NSYNC. However, he recently made his way on the TV map by finishing second in the most recent installment of ABC's Dancing with the Stars.

NBC Entertainment's Craig Plestis reveals that Bee is a "fun-filled family show is going to have viewers singing along with their TV sets." Plestis also adds that Fatone will bring the required "burst of energy and a legion of fans with his musical talent and infectious personality" to the show. If the show delivers as Plestis expects, fans could have a fun Tuesday night watching NBC as Bee will be paired with America's Got Talent.

Every episode will start with an audience-wide sing-along during which eight participants will be picked to compete in singing games. The reality series claims that contestants will need to accurately sing lyrics of popular songs or they will be out of the contest. The press release adds that The Singing Bee "inspires hilarious wrong answers and amazing performances by those rare contestants who somehow manage to get every word right."

Joining Fatone and the contestants is house band "Ray Chew and the Buzz" and "The Honeybees," the official Bee dancers.
