The Japanese just do some things better. For instance? Game shows. Japanese television execs understand that people want to see other people perform ridiculous physical challenges for prizes.Another example? Talk shows. This one in particular. I have no idea what the show is called, but it kind-of reminds me of a Japanese version of Wayne's World because it looks like it's on cable access and is filmed in someone's basement. And Johnny Depp went on it. Apparently for the second time. It's weird because A) Depp doesn't speak the language, B) Depp is the only one sitting while two other guys in suits stand around and interrogate him, and C) well, you just have to watch for yourself but let's just say there are little kids dressed as pirates, singing "It's A Small World." Depp, by the way, is the perfect gentleman and reacts to everything with gratitude.

Of course the Japanese are seriously insane. These are the people who created "Iron Chef," and then in a moment of unrivalled brilliance cancelled it just when it was becoming an international sensation. It's almost as if they were saying "since other people get this it isn't special anymore."

The show is called "gakko e ikou MAX" ("Let's go to school") . It's a very popular show and running on a major TV network TBS for almost a decade.
The show helps Japanese kids with problems and make their school life more enjoyable, also introduces many talented kids. I guess those lil' dancing girls were very talented....well, they were adorable;)
I do agree with Anita and Brent. WE(yes I am one of them), Japanese are seriously insane....! Our "Funny-ness" goes a bit overboard but I personally like this show since it's helping kids nation wide.
Oh, Johnny Depp is just unbelievable. Hats off to his HOTness and tolerance! Love him!
