Japanese television makes American television look sleepy. Especially their game shows. I don't even know the official name for this game show, but it's essentially a human version of Tetris. Big walls of styrofoam come flying at contestants who have to contort their bodies to fit through the shape in the wall, or be pushed into a pool of yellow water. It's sort-of like Tetris. I've attached a four-minute clip to this post. For some of those challenges, I have no idea how a human body would get through the space (I think that's the point).I want on this game show more than I want on The Price is Right.

That is awesome! I would love to have an American version of that, or even the Japanese video running on G4 or some channel like that. Hilarious!

There's another hilarious game show where contestants are on a treadmill and they have to reach "checkpoints" where they eat a cookie...as they progress it gets faster and faster and if they fall it leads them right back to a small pool. It's hilarious!
Let me see if I can find the video again...

Awesome! A lot of Asian gameshows like these feature celebrities as their contestants. It's what makes them even funnier!

I lived in Japan for a couple years. I loved watching local TV shows. Couldn’t understand most of what they said, but the game shows were GREAT to watch. The shows are very interactive. They do know how to have fun! This clip was very funny and I enjoyed watching it.

korea also has a game show like this. I think it's funnier cause they joke around a whole lot and the celebrities are hilarious! And i think America should study asain game shows and create shows like that here, and also use celebrities. that would be awesome!

Latin American game shows will often use TV Soap Opera stars for stuff like this, but I doubt any American star will do these kind of antics on a American-produced game show, as it could potentially lower their 'star image'.

I like the Korean version too. The korean game show is called Jihwaza. It's so hilarious! and it's a good game show too because you need to use your mind and your body. Not like American game shows these days. All they think is money. I'm not saying it's a bad thing, but i want to see more.

A lot of Asian game shows DO have celebrities as contestants. I either think American celebrities won't do it cause of the awkwardness that comes with the show or they'd jump at the opportunity to do something fun or crazy. Or I think they'd be hesitant at first because it'd be different here and they'd be afraid of bad publicity for doing something humiliating. Also, the Asian celebrities do very funny stuff but don't get caught up about u=it. It's funny for a week or so, but then people get over it because they're used to humiliating stuff. I really wish they'd do it here (but I don't think it'd be as much fun as the Korean or Japanese ones).
