Oh dear god.....

I thought this was BS that Rosie's people started because she wanted (like everyone els eon Earth) to host the show.

And here's a thought, why didn't they make a summer show called "Who wants to be a gameshow host?" oir "The next gameshow host star"? That would bring in the ratings and have America pick who we want.

If Rosie gets the job the show will be canceled or looking for a new host within a year.

I have watched THE PRICE IS RIGHT! for years and I will NEVER ever watch it if Rosie host. There is still a small chance I will watch it if John O'Hurley wins it.

But any true TPIR fan is against Rosie.

I can't imagine that they'd do that. What a game show producer in their right mind would want a host with a lot of political baggage, of either stripe? Would anyone entertain the notion of, say, Ann Coulter or Rush Limbaugh as a host? Even if they never spoke a word politically, they carry with them baggage that can't be ignored.

Rosie no way. I would never watch it again. I believe the best host for TPIR would be the host of America's Funniest Home Video's. Spelling my be wrong but his last name is Bourgine or something like that.

rosie would be an excellent choice as TPIR host. I believe
this because it's a new age with women coming to the
forefront in society and Rosie is clearly a leader type.
Her personality characteristics are consistent with someone who is clearly not a follower. I see her as having
a huge heart and she has been misunderstood. She
would make an excellent host exhibiting genuine enthus-
iasm. she has my vote! P.S. don't try to control her.
Try to understand her (she's no loser).

I think Barker is just speaking up for his friend Rosie. There is not much chance of her getting the job and Barker has no say so in the matter anyway.

Jeff Probst would be a good choice. Perhaps he is tired of traveling with SURVIVOR.

No housewife or college girl wants to run down that aisle and end up kissing Rosie! :P Heck not even the guys would go near Rosie, I'm sure! If she gets the gig, I'll never watch again. Probably the only way I'd watch is if Bob comes back or they get George Hamilton.

I know it's not PC or feminist of me to say this, but hey, look at CBS news. They're tanking with Couric. Do they want to lose TPIR as well?

Maybe Barker is backing Rosie because secretly he either wants to show to fold after him, or make sure no one can eclipse his golden years on the show. Does anyone remember The Tonight Show with Jack Paar? They remember Carson!

I think Rosie could replace 15 or 20 game show hosts. Unfortunately, they'll probably give O'Donnell the job, that is, unless they opt for a female host. Anyway, I think the whole thing is a sign of the Apocolypse, you know, one of the plagues or something.

If Rosie becomes host, I'd actually watch TPIR! But ideally I'd rather see her on a show where she could voice her opinions rather than a game show.

She could have done the show right after leaving her daytime talk show when she was still the Queen of Nice. Now, she is queen bitch and definately NOT TPIR material.

I don't know....I think the show is really outdated and probably past its prime. Bob Barker was really the ONLY reason to watch the show any more. I wish they would have ended it with his departure.

Why would the producers make it a political show? Rosie is a dangerous left-wing extremist, that wouldn't be good for the show.

Both Bob Barker & Johnny Carson are/were ICONS and can never be replaced. I can't even come up with a suggestion to replace Bob that has the polish and class he has - male or female
Rosie, is just too ruff around the edges.

I think Mark Steines would be the best choice. Hamilton and O'Hurley would have to retire in 10 yrs or less. As far as Rosie goes, I wouldn't worry too much she will get the job. CBS doesnt' want their show to go off the air. Why not ask Kathy Griffin? She would make it interesting.

Marc Summers would work because he is younger.

I think they are going to go with an older guy to keep it classic. They are most likely not looking for a long term guy because they will have to wait a few years to try to get the memory of Bob Barker out of the show.

That said they should just end the show.

Rosie is not what game show viewers want to watch...I think Ohurly would be good but doesn't he do Family Fued? Would he do both?

If she gets it the show is as good as gone. Too many people hate her guts. George Hamilton is a good choice as is Elaine's boss from Seinfeld.
