Short but good interview with Jericho star Skeet Ulrich over at TVGuide.com. He talks about how surprised he was by the intensity of the fan support the show received after it was canceled. He says his mom first alerted him to the campaign (everyone say it at once: awwwwwwwwwwwwwww!).
He says the "nuts" line was actually the hardest line he had to deliver all season, because "it's such a non-sequitur," so he finds it funny that it was that line that inspired fans.
He also reveals that Gerald McRaney was ready to leave the show. In fact, he was frustrated throughout the season because he wanted more to do.

Do we have any indications yet on how the delayed start is going to affect the cast or writing? I've read a few other articles elsewhere that due to such a late commitment by CBS, several of the writers and some of the cast have already made commitments to work on other shows. Jericho was really all about the story and character development was a key reason we all rallied behind the show. I'm going to have a tough time with the return if we're going to be without Mimi, Stanley, et al. Just look at how badly FOX screwed up "The Loop" after such a long hiatus. That show just isn't the same at all. It will be tragic if the show is destroyed simply because CBS mucked up any kind of future they might have had just because they renewed late.

One of the few show that my husband and I watch together. We have our own TV's and I watch my shows and he watches his. This one belongs to both of us, or at least we feel that way. We love this show

Didn't McRaney know what his role would be when he signed on? Didn't he know that Skeet was going to be the 'star'? Strange. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE McRaney. I'm just wondering b/c it all sounds so strange.
