Well, sort of.
Aloma Wright will return to the show this fall, even though her character, Nurse Roberts, was killed off earlier this season. It's part of a deal that she made with Scrubs creator Bill Lawrence: if the show returned for another season, then she could return to the show as Roberts' twin sister Shirley. She'll wear a wig.
Lawrence wasn't sure if there would be another season of the show when he planned her death, but now that they are returning after all he's going to stick to the deal. Which is a good thing. I really liked her character, and if the character can't come back at least the actress can.

She's a great actress, and the character will be sort of an opposite to the previous character.
As long as it's funny I don't care, but Scrubs is on it's last legs...NBC should have taken up Andy Barker P.I instead.

I'm glad they're bringing her back, even if it is a different character. It felt like there was a hole that needed to be filled, and it'd just be like quirky Scrubs to bring someone back as their own twin. ;)

I don't know what the big deal is. I think it'll be pretty funny to see her "twin sister" walking around the hospital.

None-the-less, I frakking adore laverne, and if this was any otherr show (cough lost cough) I would be pissed about the double twin thing even if I was glad to see dominic monaghan again, but anyway, enough about hobbits, I'm super excited for this.
Shirley seems to be the go to name for twins (AD's maebe and shirley)
