Our friends over at BuddyTV report that the rumored big changes that were set to happen during Big Brother 8 will not be the format itself (although do expect new things to happen during the show). The changes will take the shape of three hours of uncensored feed live from the house!Sadly for us BB addicts, this nightly feature will not be broadcast on CBS but on sister cable network ShoToo.
The network confirmed that Big Brother would be back three nights a week on CBS: Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. As for Big Brother: After Dark, the name of the nightly uncensored show, it will air every night from 9 p.m. EST to midnight.
According to executive producer Allison Grodner, these three hours should be entertaining as "That's primetime for the Big Brother house. It's when our houseguests are most wide awake and having fun, talking about strategy and playing the game. People are going to see quite a bit."
Big Brother 8 will have its premiere on Thursday, July 5.
Edited on July 5 to add: It seems that the press release wasn't clear on the time when After Dark would air. Per what Julie Chen said in the premiere, After Dark will air from midnight to 3 a.m. So as commenter D Colin said below, they will tape what happens in the house from 9 to midnight and air it from midnight to 3 a.m.

They've done this in Australia for a while, channel 10 broadcasts "Big Brother Up Late" for a couple of hours a night.
It shows a live feed from the house and has call-in puzzle competitions and prize giveaways.

there's confusion in how they worded when it would air
its 9pm to midnite in the house (BBtime)
but airs 12- 3am est. time. So it's live , it's just airring late night not 9-12est. time. I've checked several sites and that's how it is stated.
also the feeds are going for $14.99 this year, cheaper than in the past-- maybe in part because of the ShoToo aspect.

I've never watched Big Brother more than the clips that show up on The Soup and Best Week Ever, but I will make sure to tune in to Big Brother After Dark.
The only way this show makes sense to me is uncensored. What's the point, otherwise? I equate it to Decaffeinated coffee or clove cigarettes.

Azam: As said in the post, it is on ShoToo (aka Showtime 2). If you don't have a satellite dish or something of the like, you won't have the channel.
