I agree 100%. I don't know why anyone would hire her for anything. She is a time bomb waiting to explode. I have watched her since she vj'd on VH-1. I thought she was really funny...now I can't stand her. She is so self righteous and angry, I actually feel sorry for her. Maybe she will wake up and bring back the old Rosie that we all know and love.

Rosie couldn't do TPIR because the sponsors would back out. Rice-a-Roni doesn't need that drama.

A bit off topic, but, why do lesbian celebs (Rosie O'Donnel, Ellen DeGeneres, Ann Heche) seem to get meaner when they come out, while the guys seem to get happier (George Michael, David Hyde Pierce)? Is that where the 'gay' label comes from? No wonder the women prefer 'lesbian'. IMO, the guys should be angry, since their careers are over, while the women seem to get a boost.

I'm glad Ellen pulled up.

I think everubody is forgetting Rosie has a fan base. She helped the View achieve the best ratings they ever had. Her talk show was loved by millions many the same folks who watch TPIR.

She is abrasive in real life so what? She could make TPIR an even bigger show. Follow the money...

There isn't money to follow if your viewers don't watch. Despite bringing some viewers in to look at the inevitable train wreck, far more would tune out due to her abrasive demeanor. But unless they make an incredibly good choice, I suspect the new host will preside over the shows brief, remaining run.

So far I've stayed out of the Rosie fray, but now I gotta step in cos I love TPIR. I'm watching it right now in fact. I have to say she would ruin the show!

First off, the show has the loyal military following, you always see marines and air force kids in thier uniforms on the show.

Other than being pro spay/neuter of pets, Bob keeps his views to himself, which Rosie is incapable of. She's so far from neutral that it'd be a huge turn off. This isn't a talk show, this is a game show and she's all wrong!

I'd definitely never watch TPIR again if she's chosen. I'm not too thrilled with them continuing on without Bob to begin with so maybe I'm just biased. . .

My personal choice in who would take over for Bob is Barney Stinson. Oh wait, I mean Neil Patrick Harris. He can do TPIR ANND HIMYM at the same time, right?

Rosie's a depressed and depressing person, the very idea of her is a total bring down. She needs help--and needs to restrict her "broadcasts" to her navel gazing blog.

I agree with the masses. To be a good game show host you hafta know when to get out of the way, and that's a skill I don't think Rosie has. She's good on The View because she's opionated, but that's not what people want on a game show, and certainly not what a regular TPIR view wants.

Rosie to take over after Bob? That's like having Lindsay Lohan continue on for Mother Teresa! What an insulting and insane idea! Bob has been an icon and presented himself with class and grace when on stage. Poor Rosie doesn't have the ability to even fake those qualities. I sincerely hope the show would be scrapped before entertaining the thought of Rosie as a host. She use to be fun and entertaining, but has become ugly and extremely unpleasant with a very nasty disposition showing through. Maybe one of those "work from home" jobs is what she needs.

Rosie is great. I don't think The Price Is Right is the right show for her though. They need to give her her own talk show, maybe one similar to Real Time with Bill Maher. A place where she can talk about news, politics, etc. Let TPIR continue to be the same boring game show its been for years.

Anyhoo, I vote for a Game Show veteran to take over for the classic TPIR....Wink Martindale, Bob Eubanks, or Chuck Woolery are my top 3 picks.

My husband and I are retired and look forward to TPIR every weekday. I must say, I don't think we could stomach the program if Rosie is selected new hostess. The producers and sponsers would be insane to make such a choice.

Rosie would be a game show host, not a talk show host, if she took over TPIR. She is all about the contestant and that's why her show had a million give-a-ways and that's why The View started doing daily give-a-ways. She's likes celebrating the everyday person and would be a very upbeat host. Also, she signed off the same way every day on The View with "Peace Out."

I think it's interesting that people who have never watched her shows, or only saw the highlights that go on You Tube and Fox News, seem to be an expert on who Rosie is. I can't say I agree with all of her views and I know she doesn't understand that sometimes there is a place and time for everything.

One poster is correct in saying Rosie brings in the ratings. TPIR producers haven't been happy with the people they have auditioned so far so why shouldn't she get a chance. Why not? It's not a political talk show, it's a game show.

LOL Tammy can't stand the fact that most people can't stand O'D and uses the fallacious claim that her critics don't watch her, just YouTube and Fox. Sorry sister I have watched many of her shows and if you think you are going to be smart and ask if I didn't like her then why watch...and the answers is so I can answer you accusation that critics don't watch her show with a ....FALSE, YOU'RE WRONG, NEXT PLEASE!

O'D is a hatemongering bigot by her OWN standards. No one wants her or likes her. Yes The View Klux Klan ratings went up, everyone is interested in watching disasters and just as they thought the mean, ugly disaster O'D blew up at the Christian with a hate spew that would make Bill Maher blush.

But daytime ratings of anger lesbians watchers is a far cry from those that watch TPIS. It ain't gonna happen and any show any network tries with O'D at the lead might be interesting for a little while...you know like Couric is stinks now in the ratings, but in reality all alone with no one to cover for her the real O'D that we now see, the hatemongering bigot and not the pretend nice she feigned before, that O'D will fall "fat of her face"...I mean "flat on her face". She is a disgusting hatemongering bigot that makes Imus look like a Saint.
