Anyone who knows, met or has ever worked with Larry David knows that his on-screen personality is very similar to his real personality.
I remember when I did a scene with him on Curb Your Enthusiasm, my friend Jeff Garlin showed up on the set early to warn me about Larry and not take anything personally. I was glad he did. While Larry wasn't the worst person I had ever worked with, he certainly wasn't pleasant. However, once the series aired, it was clear that he knew what he was doing.
Well, now, it seems that the oft-asked question of "What kind of a woman could live with Larry David?" has been answered. That answer is no one.
Larry and his wife Laurie have separated after 14 years of marriage. While they didn't give up much information as to why they split, they said there main concern was staying "committed to raising their two daughters."
Personally, I'm curious if this change will affect Curb Your Enthusiasm at all. I hope is doesn't as Cheryl Hines is a hilarious part of that show and watching Larry try to date would be excruciating.

No one? Really? They stay together for 14 years and you still say no one could live with him?

Ahhh, the new times. When a 14 year marriage is considered a "long time"

Since David strikes me as someone who prefers not taking things too seriously, I wonder if his wife's religious crusade to make us (but not HER) live like Ted Kazinski may have had something to do with it.

I don't think this will affect CYE because they are probably almost done filming and the upcoming season will probably be the last one.

Since nothing was released it's interesting you immediatley blame David for being difficult. Perhaps he didn't want to eat granola and throw money at offset scams any longer?
I'd say it's just as likely her zealotry were to blame as his personality...considering it doesn't seem he's changed much in 14 years (if Seinfeld v. CYE is any judge).

I don't think it will affect Curb at all cause season 6 has already been shot and in post production. I am sad to hear this though. I am a big CYE and a Larry David fan and I hate to hear bad news about him.
