A&E has pulled all re-runs of Flip This House that feature Atlanta businessman Sam Leccima, who is charged with fraud regarding the homes he "flips". He's accused of taking investors' money and not doing anything with it (investors came pouring in after he appeared on television). Plus, he's accused of all sorts of little antics to make himself look good on television. Buyers claim his fixes to the homes were only temporary patch jobs. And, Leccima is also accused of getting his friends to pose as potential buyers so he could slap a 'Sold' sign on his flipped homes, some of which he didn't even own (wha?!?). He also doesn't even have a real estate license because it was revoked by the state of Georgia in 2005. Before his lawyer shut him up, Leccima gave an interview that makes him sound like a total slimeball. He said, "Ask anybody who works in television how a reality show is made and you'll find that ours was a very typical approach." A&E denies any knowledge of Leccima's alleged improprieties and has wiped its hands of him.

I stopped watching this show when they dropped Richard and Co. from SC and replaced him with this guy and the Hispanic bros in Texas. Both were exttremely annoying compared to the original flipper.

A&E might have pulled reruns, but not before airing an all-day marathon the day after the news broke. Even if it had been planned for months prior, it should have been pulled had A&E cared for the shreds of its once stellar reputation.

I work as an office manager for a company that inspects investment properties here in Atlanta, and we have all been following this pretty closely since the story broke on Fox Atlanta. This whole investment market isn't as easy as all these TV shows make it look and this guy doesn't help any. I just wish we would have had a chance to look at one of these properties!
Oh, and apparently the mortgage company that actually owns(ed) some of these properties is Bluefield Capital which has recently had to foreclose on many properties. I'd be looking a little more closely into that company as well to see how much they knew!

Just FYI They stopped showing Richard because they gave him his own show. It is on A&E and is titled "the Real Deal".

The Real Deal is on TLC. As I recall, Richard & co. went to TLC and made a deal when A&E took their idea and dumped them. Check out this website...

It is true that this guy, Leccima, should had never been used for such a great show. I also agree that "Trademark" Richard and Ginger are GREAT! I have a crush on Ginger and would love more new episodes to watch her at work and play.
The Montelongo's whom you denegrade are as spectacular a team and don't deserve to be associated with Leccima. They do justice to the show and are great at what they do. GREAT JOB!
