(S03E23) Here's something I found odd about tonight's episode, though not really having to do with it being a season finale. Why is it that a seemingly not-so-well-off Cuban couple can go through great pains to find House, and yet this is what I believe to be the first time a foreign patient has sought out House's expertise?
Moreover, I'm somewhat baffled that the law would just so easily let Cuban refugees come right in and give them exactly what they want. As for the medical records left drifting out at sea, it seemed a lot of emphasis was put on those documents when it seems they would've done no good.
I know -- these are petty things to gripe about overall, but I just found them as odd. Now let's get to the larger part of the episode: the dissolution of House's team.
At the episode's end, we're left with two big questions. How will next season start out with House and no (or a new) team, and how will he get Foreman, Chase and Cameron back in some sort of believable way? It's hard to imagine what would possess Chase to come back to House's side, nevermind Foreman. Cameron I could see having a change of heart, though that seems unlikely.
This is what makes this finale so great. We're left to wonder how this team could possibly get back together after such a crappy dismissal from House. I believe there are rumors (or more than rumors) that one of the team won't be back next season, but there's no way all of them would be eliminated.
Here's something that occurred to me when House mentioned his lack of concern to his new Cuban friend. Could we at some point find out that House is suffering from some sort of chemical imbalance or anomaly that causes him to behave the way he does? In the past we've seen that the drugs he's on are part of the reason he acts the way he does, but is that the full story? When have we seen him actually show compassion without being forced in some way?
It was a no-brainer for FOX to bring this show back for another season this fall, even giving it the coveted post-Super Bowl slot. Hopefully the writers will continue to not rely on the multi-episode arc stories and keep the bulk of the episodes as self-contained. This is one of those shows I enjoy to watch without having to sit through a plotline that has nothing to do with why I enjoy the show so much.

I thought the finale sucked. The team coming back will not be believeable, that's clear, it's also clear the team will be back. So what happens in the futre when one of the actors leave? They will have to come up with some crazy excuse to do that. Fine episode, lame "everyone left" finale. I have to say that this season the season finales have been rather bad ending.

i actually liked this episode alot. Everyone was in character, especially house, and I like how at the end there wasn't a dramatic speech or House begging his team to come back. Everyone embraced the change that occured and life goes on. True, the team coming back may be unbelievable but overall i thought it was a good episode.

I'm glad the team is gone; it's time for a change. Maybe the hot nutrionist will be part of the team next season ;-)

House behaves the way he does for two possible reasons: His father abused him as a child.
He has Asperger's Syndrom.

I'd love to see the whole team stay gone and have to get to know new characters.

This was one of the most satisfying series finales yet.
Wait, it's coming back in the fall? Did the writer's get that memo?

Hated the finale completely.
But, I do think it would be fantastic if they just let all 3 of those folks go and brought in a whole new team. I'd really like to see the new dynamic.
I'm tired of all the whining and garbage that the old team of 3 had going on. Fresh blood may revitalize the show.

I just find it funny how they turned the tables and truthfully showed that House was just a good doctor wanting to do his job and save people.
His "Team" was just protrayed in their true light. They all had alterior motives and House was the only one truly on track and willing to give everything a shot.

Just like the storyline with the cop they will be back and behave as if nothing has happened.
House is about an abuse doc with a team of assistants who treat him like a father figure.
They will all be back because they like the abuse.
hmm... wasn't that a Green Day song?

I smell contract negotiations.
Whoever on the team demands the most money will be written out. Keep one or two for continuity and add one or two so new so new story lines can be developed. If they stand united and make unreasonable demands, all three are gone and the writers get to start with a blank slate. In all likelihood the producers, not the writers, thought of this plot twist.

of course House needs a team... although maybe not this one. each of them has grown and changed enough to warrant leaving the nest.
but clearly they are all coming back. I'm hoping the writers spend the summer thinking of a plausible way to bring them back to PPTH

Well his team are fellows. Those only go a few years post-residency anyways. I say, start the season premier with a montage of interviews and hire three new one. Have one quit on in ep 3 or 4 and hire a new new one in ep 5.

Bash, I think it was The Offspring, but I could be wrong.
I liked the finale, but I was caught off guard alot of the time by some of the directing choices. Like the quick shot to Cameron after House called her slutty. It was very jarring.
I'd welcome the change for a few episodes. I'd like to see how new outsiders will deal with House and being under his "guidance". Kudos to the writers for mixing it up a bit.

I like the finale for the most part. Hard to believe cuban refugees could get to House so quickly... and speak such good english! I would hate to see the team all go. I know the show is about House, but I liked the whole relationship he had with his team. Seems like one of them must be leaving, but not all 3!

If the writers were good, we'd see Foreman in his new job calling up House for a consult. If I was a writer, that'd be the first thing I'd have happen. The writers have crafted Foreman into a real powerhouse thinker on his own, so however Foreman's brought back better be interesting. Cameron... sorry, but she fell for two different guys she's worked with. As far as character traits go, that's a setup for a fall. I'm sure her love life will be that character's continuing storyline. And Chase -- well, Chase's character just doesn't care that much. Passion isn't his strong suit. If the writers have Cameron dump Chase, it will be hard to see him be affected all that much. They need a different storyline for him.

Personally would like to see Chase get that diagnostics job that Cuddy offered Foreman a couple episodes ago.
I think House was Truthful about Chase. He's learned all he can. He's been the only other person to solve a case besides House. Two of them infact. And He's the only person that figured out that House canceled Foreman's appointment. It's time for him to 'graduate'.

I love the show, but think a new team would be a great idea. Also is there anything in the works that FOX will have a web page like ABC and CBS so that we can watch missed House shows on our PC's or on "ON DEMAND". Some times life happens and interrupts very important parts of the show. It would be great if we could have a way to watch it the next day instead of having to wait for reruns or read about it on the news.

Loved the final episode. And, I have figured out why House acted the way he did...and always has. He has Lupus.

3/7...I didn't like this House. The Cuban couple attempting to get to House was farfetched, but I did love the couple, their story and the actors portraying them, the Cameron-Chase storyline is yuck, the House-Cuddy relationship insinuation is even yucker...the entire episode was ick. I did like the writing surrounding the resigning/firing of the entire team and am interested on how that proceeds. It is time for a change and the addition of new personalities could definitely be it. As always...I love Hugh Laurie and the character House. I do hope to see Chase, Cameron and Foreman in future episodes. I still think a Cameron-House relationship would be interesting.

Good finale, I have no problem if none of the team come back. Foreman was the only interesting one.
I am not sure why people think House should be affected by their leaving, some people just are not overly emotional. Can't see why that would have to be a " syndrome" of some kind.
I think it's more of an American tendency to have work place relationships become quite personal...but before you all disagree it is just my observation.
