Well, the network upfronts have come and gone and the viewing public has had a few days to reflect on the new, the old, and the missing of the 2007-08 season. And, as usual, the viewing public is utterly confused. That's because, as is the norm, the networks have shuffled their shows around to make room for their up-and-coming of the past season as well as the hopeful successes of the new season. So, what better time for us to present a complete look at next season's television schedule.
Now, I know what you're going to say, and I'll try to get your voice right when I repeat it. You say 'Rich, why are you posting the schedule now when we can just go to the individual upfront posts and look at them there.' Well, first, I get paid by the post. And second, do you really want to jump back and forth between upfront posts to see if your favorite show is going to conflict with something new that you want to watch? Sure, all those mouse clicks push up our total hit count, but you're going to get awfully tired switching back-and-forth. Frankly, we're just a bit concerned.
Thus, the reason for this post. So, sit back, jump ahead, and enjoy a full look at the fall television landscape. Then, when you're done, go see a doctor because that mole does not look good at all.

As a Bones fan going to be pissed is wrong, we are already pissed.
Is Fox trying to destroy their best show?

Wow... With such little new stuff to be interested in, there's only one night my TiVo wont' handle: Tuesdays at 9:00: Chuck and the Reaper will fight for the other tuner (The Unit has the other spot, but I've been looking for a reason to stop watching for a long time).
Does everyone remember last summer: Heroes, Studio 60, Vanished, the Nine, Daybreak, Standoff (Ok, I was by myself on that one), Drive, Jericho, Six Degrees (again, by myself), and the Black Donnelleys. I also had Veronica Mars and What About Brian coming back.
There are a few things that I'm looking forward to, but seriously... I haven't been this unexcited for the upcoming season in a very long time.

This was very helpful, thanks for taking the time to create it. Maybe it'll make planning my recording schedule a bit easier. Maybe. Just wish I knew ahead of time which shows to skip because as soon as I get into them, they're going to get canceled. And once they cancel a show I like, it's too late to try and get into another new one.

I'll want to watch Reaper, so I'll have to tape that while I watch House. Which is one of my shows I tape for keeps until I get the DVDs. And unless I get some form of Tivo-knockoff before the fall, I guess I can't watch Chuck without my TV habits annoying the rest of my family. (I was on the fence about it anyway)
And yes, I am a pissed Bones fan. But I've never had a Friday show before, so I'll see how it goes.
Gosh, I'm going to have a super busy TV schedule. Goodbye, outdoors!!

There's also a nice schedule page at futon critic that has the summer and fall schedules along with original cable programming and links to info on every show.
I love the Reality Distortion Field haze of late spring when I'm sooooo looking forward to Bionic Woman, Private Practice, Dirty Sexy Money, Caveman, Chuck, Big Shots, etc. By the end of October it will be back to reality and half of them will be gone!

BONES fans - stay strong, FOX planned on moving the show to Friday this past season, but couldn't because of the number of failed new shows.
I'd wager BONES will air in the same time slot it did this year.

So basically, CBS is still going to win most nights because no one is really challenging them. Great...
If we want more daring shows, other networks are going to have to compete with CBS, just like other nets, primarily CBS competes against Idol, when others run. The more nets run from "big" shows, the less room there is for anything "new".

I just learned that The Black Donnelleys has been cancelled...I am in shock...I loved the show from the very first one...every character was memorable...it was not given a chance...this is the third show lately that I have watched faithfully only to have it cancelled...I think I may just give up TV altogether...who makes these decisions to cancel good shows anyway!
