That's right, fans of Jackass, the popular MTV series that spawned two feature films is being turned into a game for the PlayStation 2, PlayStation Portable and Nintendo DS. You can pick up your copy on September 24. Or, you can pick it up after September 24. Or you can order it online and not have to pick it up at all. Or you can use your money to buy a jar of pickles, what the hell do I care?

Anyway, Jackass stars Johnny Knoxville and Steve-O have provided voices for the new game, which incorporates stunt ideas that were (mostly) never used on the TV series or in the movies. Also, because it's a video game, the stunts are much more intense since no real people are involved. Additionally, the PSP version will include footage from the TV series.

This sounds like a cool idea, though parents should be cautioned not to let their young children near the game. Kids can be quite impressionable, and no one wants a repeat of what happened to that little girl who tried to ride on the back of a crocodile after playing Frogger back in '83. Nasty business that was.
