I happened to see the show where Elizabeth went balastic, and it originally had nothing to do with Rosie. Joy brought up the topic about Bush, and you could see that Elizabeth was getting upset. Then Rosie brought up something about whether or not Elizabeth thought she was a terrorist, which I can only assume came from an earlier show, because it was completely out of context.

Next thing you know Elizabeth is yelling rather angrily, and then brings up Donald Trump, which was a low blow. During the whole time Rosie kept her cool, but you could tell she was upset with Elizabeth.

I'm not surprised Rosie is leaving, and she was scheduled to leave anyway. I'm just surprised that Elizabeth is still there.

Is it just me or is JustMe seeing things through a different lens?

Elizabeth was trying to defend the troops, which Joy Behar wouldn't let her get a word in, so Rosie then starts attacking Elizabeth because she didn't "defend" Rosie a few days prior, Elizabeth wasn't able to get her point across, and then had to defend herself against Rosie.

Rosie was not calm. Joy was not calm. Elizabeth was not calm.

Elizabeth, however, was completely justified in defending both herself and the troops, even if Rosie and Joy wouldn't let her.

Rosie O'Donnell is an obnoxious, bigoted and obviously very unhappy woman. I have never nor will I ever watch that show. To me it is demeaning to all women to hear women cat fight like that. If I did watch, I'm sure my opinions would line up more with Elizabeth Hasselbeck's but what difference does it make anyway? She is the lone conservative trying to survive on a show with liberal, arrogant women and, in Rosie's case, one who has lost all semblance of clarity of thought and reasonableness. She is a totally pathetic human being and is really to be pitied. She used to be funny and a fairly decent actress but she has completely lost touch with reality. I might add how sad it is that you would keep a person like her and let her rant and rave and then brag that ratings have never been higher. ABC should have just let her leave and not shower her with any praise whatsoever. I'm glad she is gone but I'm sure she will surface somewhere else. And wherever she goes, I won't be watching.

I disagree. I watched the show and although Rosie got upset with Elizabeth, it was clearly Elizabeth who got upset first, based on a list that Joy brought up.

I'm no Rosie fan, but Elizabeth needs to go too. She gets angry too easily, and it's NOT the first time.

Why not get rid of Elizabeth?

"The View" is just what the name implies: the view of housewives on things they don't completely understand because all they know is heresay and/or "what my (family member inserted here) told me".

Basically that video consists of Rosie, totally spinning around like that girl on "Omen" spewing peasoup, and Lissy Hassenbeck (pun intended, watch Law and Order) repeating "The troops the troops god bless the troops" over and over again.

They both have no point. They are talking total bull every time they open their mouth. It's just horrible to know that people actually watch this show and AGREE to things those women are saying and later on either vote or don't vote during a presidential election - and I for one can't decide if that's good or bad.

Horrible. Just horrible. Any person with half a brain has to basically avoid this show actively so that half a brain does not explode while watching this mindless pile of feces.

By the way, that YouTube clip is not the entire video. It starts with Joy reading a multipage list of issues with the current administration. While Joy is reading the list, you can clearly see that Elizabeth is fuming-- in fact she interrupts Joy, and Joy requests that she be allowed to finish her point. That's how everything actually started.

Rosie probably knew what she was doing and probably was ready to get the heck out of there, so this is certainly NOT a surprise.

Normally I don't like these kind of right vs. left fights, but Elisabeth Hasselbeck is a real turd for always spouting the Republican talking points. It's no wonder she was invited to the recent State Dinner at the White House; she is one of the few remaining Americans who continues to support President Shit-for-Brains and his whack ideology.

I'm not a fan of Rosie but Elisabeth is just an ignorant Survivor-castoff that somehow landed a cushy gig. How she went from reality show to real-time job in the limelight escapes me. No talent, brainwashed politics, evangelical christian...you can't get much worse than Elisabeth and that's saying something when an ogre like Rosie sits near her.

I love the View. I love it because it's live and anything can happen. Whether you agree with a particular host's view or not is not the point. It gets people thinking and talking about the issues.

I'm kind of a liberal, so I generally support what Rosie has to say, USUALLY, NOT ALWAYS. You may hate her and her politics but it's been some damn good tv.

I admire Elisabeth for standing up to her for a change. Rosie got pissed, gathered her toys and went home.

Thank Goodness Rosie is leaving. I had to stop watching the show once she joined on because I could not stomach the stupid things that came out of her mouth. As well as, I could not bear to watch the way they would treat Elisabeth with such disrespect. I'm sure her outburst was deep-seated from the many times she had to hold it in. Hopefully, now the others will stop talking over her and quite ignoring her comments. Rosie has to quit now because she can't stand it that someone stood up to her, especially a real woman. I'll be watching The View next week and I hope to hear more from Elisabeth.

When ABC hired that "big fat slob" Rosie, I stopped watching the show--I cannot stand her. Then when Barbara Walters lied during Rosie's feud with Donald Trump, I decided that I would never watch the show again Rosie or no Rosie.

If something controversial happens, thank goodness for YouTube.

And finally, way to go Elizabeth! I was so happy to see her stand up to that awful Rosie. And now Rose has quit--picked up her dollies and stomped home.
