I know that we kid around a bit here at TV Squad when it comes to talking about TV personalities, especially when it comes to our favorite judges over at American Idol. However, I swear that we are not pulling your chain with this next story.
According to TMZ American Idol judge Paula Abdul broke her nose over the weekend when she tripped over her, er, her dog, which would be a, um, a chihuahua named Tulip. It seems that Paula was trying to step over the little runt to avoid smashing it (rather than, perhaps, pushing it aside with her pinky toe) and smashed her nose instead. According to a spokesperson for Abdul she was not hospitalized for the injury. It is unknown at the time whether this will prevent her from appearing on the live season finale of American Idol.
Folks, you just can't make this stuff up on your own!

Sounds like somebody needs a visit from the Dog Whisperer. Or maybe, more appropriately, the Vicodin Whisperer.

I have tripped over my dog, who constantly sneaks up behind me and gets underfoot in the kitchen as I'm cooking, so it doesn't seem strange to me. She's always looking for food and I'm constantly chasing her away but sometimes she's so quiet she still surprises me being right behind me.

Two weeks ago I would have thought this very suspicious, however, last weekend I (very sober) fell over my yellow lab and tore my ACL! Dogs can be hazardous!!! What would we do without Paula's antics anyway?

Well I can believe it, there have been many times when I have tried to step over my small dog. At the last second the stupid thing trying to avoid me moves to the exact place where I was putting my foot. I end up having to jerk my foot in another direction and almost fall.

Yeah, a few weeks ago I tripped (over my own 2 feet - LOL) and fell flat on my face. Thankfully, I did not break my nose but my glasses cut me up pretty badly. I, too, was sober at the time.

I have tripped over a dog...but not as small as a chihuahua. Yikes!! Maybe it was just a nose job gone bad and blamed on the dog. I used to blame lots of stuff on my dog...ate my homework, made the mess in my room, messed up my freshly made bed....so on and so on....I WAS 10 years old!! Come on, grown ups have way better way to make excuses than blame it on the dog.

Tripped over the dog? Ha Ha, that's what I'd say, too, if I was her.

I suppose it could have happened that way. But until I hear confirmation from Tulip's publicist, I'm choosing not to believe it.:)

I keep reading that Paula takes pain meds for her back pain. That stuff can make you half goofy, slur your words, trip over your doggie or just plain fall on your chops. Give a very nice person a break.

Maybe she was running away from Simon - he looks at her like he wants to jump her bones. You can feel the sexual attraction the way he looks at her. They would be a cute couple & their "frick & frack" banter on the show adds to the boring, repetitave comments from Randy.

Keep it up you guys. Remember what goes around comes around. Things aren't always what they appear to be, and no not one of us is perfect. So she has had some bad days. haven't anyone of you had some of those days?
