(S03E19) "I'm not gonna pull a Clooney... not yet!" -Drama

As much as I've enjoyed the recent string of episodes, this one definitely best resembles the Entourage I remember. We had it all. Great story, some classic Johnny moments, and one of the most insane situations Vince has ever gotten himself into. Medellín is a go (finally!), but it certainly didn't come together the way I expected.

How exactly do you react when a man who's probably made most of his money through illegal drugs and arms trafficking tells you to go upstairs and "f*ck his wife?" In Vince's case, you do what he says... especially if you want your movie to get made. Leave it to Ari to find someone like that to finance the film though. Did we even find out exactly what Yahyir (is that even how you spell his name...) does? Drugs? guns? He's some kind pf European prince and his wife Nikka is an ex-Ukrainian soap-star. How does Ari even know this guy? I suppose it doesn't matter. Vince and Eric need Yahyir on their side. Even more so since Sotheby's already unloaded the house.

Regardless, I like what it sets up. Especially for Eric. He's a producer now, the real deal. The issue is going to be whether or not others will actually take him seriously. There was a time when Ari didn't think too highly of E. Remember their dinner at that sushi place in the pilot episode? Obviously, Eric has earned Ari's respect, but if someone like Nikka (who knows squat) doesn't see Eric in that light, then how will others? I'm just really excited to see how this forces his character to develop because if it goes well for him, it could create another rift between him and Vince.

Then there's Drama. It all comes back to him. Brett Ratner has offered him a part in Rush Hour 3. Well... not really. Blame Ratner's assistant for misreading the credits at the end of Five Towns. How smart is Johnny though? He still begs Ratner to give him a tiny part (some bus driver) and then convinces his young co-star Tommy (who was supposed to have the big RH3 role in the first place) that he got it for him by sweet talking Brett. For his gratitude? Plane tickets to France where it's filming. Johnny Drama is a freakin' genius. A pathetic genius, but still.

Turtle's story is a bit of a throw away, but most of his generally are. Remember Saigon? Still, I do like that he's been given a love interest. Plus it's added some fresh humor. Kelly's two younger brothers are hilarious. "Who's the white boy?" While Turtle doesn't have the bragging rights that Vince has (Hand-jobs from his tenth grade Spanish teacher?!?), Turtle still has a reason to hold his head high with Kelly. Overall though, a very good installment - reminiscent of episodes past. Nothing huge happened, but for Entourage to be good that doesn't always have to be the case. 5 out of 7.
