ABC decided not to pick up the pilot for Mr. and Mrs. Smith starring Jordana Brewster and Martin Henderson (based on the movie of the same name starring Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie).
That does not mean, however, that we'll never see it. Regency and Dutch Oven, the production companies behind the series, had an "early release" in its contract according to the Hollywood Reporter, and they plan to start shopping the series around to other networks.
Smith focuses on the lives of the titular couple six months after the movie ends. They're still married, and they they still assassinate people. Doug Liman, who directed the feature film, also directed the pilot.

Maybe Showtime or HBO could pick it up. Though more likely USA or TNT might.

I would definitely watch it.
Broadcast TV needs a smart sexy show and if they can translate even half the sexiness and fun of the film, it will be a huge hit.

After seeing the trash that was picked up I rather watch this. Honestly Cavemen? ABC rather pick up a TV show based on a commerical (and it seems to have been made in only a few months) and not a TV show based on a decent movie that did okey? Stupid ABC.

The sad part is that if Cavemen is successful they'll green-light the Gecko.

So they passed on this for Cavemen? What exactly was the target demographic for Cavemen? If they were at all targeting 18-49 males, then they should have picked up anything featuring Jordana Brewster! Cavemen. Meh.

ABC stands for "Another Bad Choice"
They cancelled a great series like "Daybreak" and now they fail to pick up this.
