4 from 24: More on hour 22

Marilyn and Josh Bauer*Warning, spoilers ahead from this week's episode.*

Will the 24 season finale answer viewer questions, like what in the world Papa Bauer wants with his grandson, whether Jack will thwart his daddy's evil deeds and whether former President Charles Logan is among the living?

Who knows if we'll get satisfactory answers to these questions, but, before we turn our sights to the final two hours, here are a few more moments from hour 22 to savor:

Quote of note: This week's top quote award goes to chief of staff Tom Lennox after he watched -- via hidden camera -- White House aide Lisa Miller have relations with her traitorous boyfriend. "And . . . finally . . . we're done," Lennox said. (Did I hear envy in his voice?)

Moment of tension between CTU staffers: Sure, Nadia Yassir took over as interim CTU chief a mere THREE HOURS AGO. But in those three hours CTU was infiltrated by Cheng Zhi's band of mercenaries in order to kidnap Jack Bauer's "nephew" Josh. So, in 24-land, that means that someone from "Division" has to burst into CTU, disrupt the agents' terrorist hunting and make egocentric power plays.

Quote of note II: "Your grandfather is a visionary," Cheng told Josh. (A close third place quote of the week would be National Security Advisor Karen Hayes calling Papa Bauer "a sociopath.")

ACLU nightmare moment of the week: Jack wrenching the neck of the head tattooed/tank-topped mercenary AFTER he'd already subdued him via choking. That extra neck twisting surely must've irked our ACLU friends.
